We aren't as funny or as cool but we sure have fun, involving a lot of alcohol but fun nonetheless. Times are sometimes hard but with the love you'll get through it. I have the same relationship with my brother in-law, that Dan and Jackie have with each other. We don't always see eye-to-eye, but for the most part, always there for one another, if needed. : )

I had a tornado blow through my town when I was little. It was literally right up the street from my house, which oddly didn't suffer any damage. I remember being pumped up for it just like Darlene while my older sisters were freaking out lol.
That was scary when Jackie raced into the house telling them the tornado was coming there way and Crystal screamed as the power went out. When I saw this on tv, that was the point when the show went into commercial while I sat there saying "oh my gosh, there house is going to get it". This was my favorite first season episode.

My mom grew up in Highland, Indiana and when she was a kid they had a tornado that literally ripped their roof off while they all cowered and watched from below. Crazy shit man.
At the end of the episode, Darlene answers the phone and says Dan's Chicago Bears boxer shorts were in Mrs. Clyde's tree. You see them hanging on the line where Dan gets the trash and you also see them blow off... Genius!!! Thank y so much for sharing....I love this show

Honestly, I think they're taking this a bit far. I live in Tornado Alley, and we go through this every spring/summer. All you really need to do is get some candles/flashlights, unplug any computers from the outlet(no, you don't need to unplug the fridge, lol), and get to either a storm shelter or a safe, durable closet or bathroom, and keep either a tv or radio on a weather channel so you can hear updates. Freaking out and panicking doesn't help.
@MaakaKarin17 Will maybe this is there first tornado. I mean if tornado headed our way my family mostly likely take it to far with everything. Reason is we don't live in torando alley. The people who do live in torando alley know what to do.

I'm from Oklahoma and moved to Illinois so I know the experience of weather difference cause in Ok if theres 3 inches of snow they close all school but in Illinois they have to have 12 or more.Illinois barely gets hit wit tornados like Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma.
@ClareH29 Yes I remember those Fri nights too, just one of those times growing up i also think back to the 90s too, the sitcoms seemed more about lessons in life and more down to earth than the ones for kids now loved Blossom,Wonder years and obv Roseanne plus loads more :o) theres not much like that now.
I live in tornado alley and my parents made the storms fun .. almost like an adventure to keep us calm. I loved it .. scared .. but loved being with my family - playing games while eating popcorn in my sleeping bag. To be young again :-)
I'm originally from Virginia and I'd feel the SAME way whenever a tornado watch came on TV. It was both exciting and scary at the same time, like an adventure. No tornado ever came our way, however.
I love the tornado episode. it reminds me of tornado warnings in Wisconsin. the sky turning funky colors and the thunderstorms. sitting in the basement with my family drinking black bear soda.... waiting for it to blow over. it was like a big bonding time for us.

I'm from Oklahoma and moved to Illinois so I know the experience of weather difference cause in Ok if theres 3 inches of snow they close all school but in Illinois they have to have 12 or more.Illinois barely gets hit wit tornados like Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma.

Roseanne = memories of Friday nights in the UK circa late 80's - onwards. Roseanne followed by Cheers on Channel 4...happy days!!

@ClareH29 Yes I remember those Fri nights too, just one of those times growing up i also think back to the 90s too, the sitcoms seemed more about lessons in life and more down to earth than the ones for kids now loved Blossom,Wonder years and obv Roseanne plus loads more :o) theres not much like that now.

Yeah I think too that the first couple of seasons were the best....in the later seasons I think that the feeling of the show changed big time.

I live in tornado alley and my parents made the storms fun .. almost like an adventure to keep us calm. I loved it .. scared .. but loved being with my family - playing games while eating popcorn in my sleeping bag. To be young again :-)

I'm originally from Virginia and I'd feel the SAME way whenever a tornado watch came on TV. It was both exciting and scary at the same time, like an adventure. No tornado ever came our way, however.

I love the tornado episode. it reminds me of tornado warnings in Wisconsin. the sky turning funky colors and the thunderstorms. sitting in the basement with my family drinking black bear soda.... waiting for it to blow over. it was like a big bonding time for us.
