@Mustange500 its up to you bro... personally this sub is more than enough for me... i've heard the jl 13.5 w7 is a little better sound quality wise but for the price is not worth the jump by a long shot... if u have money to blow then get it.

i had 2 12 type x's with alpine 1000 to each. they pump but i still would rather have my 15 type r any day. the 15 r compared to the 12 is alot better. but my 12s were fucking retarted when working properly. broke every thing on my car hhaha

I like everything but the box. You can't just throw an expensive sub in a general ported Bassworkx box. I don't mean to talk shit, I just think it would be better in a custome made box.

Ya that type x component speakers are nice. They have a ton of bass...probably the most i've heard for door speakers. I think they go down to 35hz

i had the type x component set, blow them up and now have the hertz mille mlk 165, they are much better if you want to slend the money, $1000

Ya hertz is a much better brand. I dont think i would buy the Type X anyways because i dont need bass in my speakers..thats what a sub is for. Just gotta set the crossover and its all good.

that amp is fvcking amazing... i had the mrp 1.1000 but switched it like a week after for the pdx, my lights still dim and stuff but it does use less power...
