  • whoa he's jumpy!!!!

  • no more caffeine for mr. brown

  • That's our Mr.Brown!

  • been chased by one...

  • indeed a spring

  • Just a word of advice, stop giving him so much coffee.

  • not all mulgas are that defensive.........mine is very much like yours though im sure once it gets larger and more mature it will settle down........red bellied blacks can be the same when very young just when there that size they are more nervous....

  • Should be a new class of hot for this snake. Do they settle down a bit as they get older ?. You read a snakes body language very well Al. Must come from years of training and experience.

  • That is one scary creature......

  • this makes a king cobra look like hes on meth

  • enclosure too small for him mate

  • @CoaksReptileMan That was just a temporary bin while his cage was under repair. Had to replace the heat panel. He's over a meter long today.

  • @viperkeeper ohk good too know mate, i have a scrubby go check him out if you want on my channel.

yes he is insane ha crazy

  • LOL!! First time I ever saw this one!! King Brown on Meth...hilarious...

  • @LennyG4362 He was cute rambunctious boy

  • @viperkeeper I see! I see! Lol! Guy needed some "snakie Ritalin!" :-)

  • poor mouse :(

  • AWSOME MAN!!! nice vidss!! so urh, just wondering, what would u do if one morning you woke up and found he was missing ;p haha

  • the king brown sanke grows well over 3 metres and they can be as thick as your arm,

there snake eaters they eat other snakes and reptiles thats why there so fast

  • they also have a rep for biting over and over as well as actually chasing people.

  • @edaj84

    no,

they have the rep for biting, and holding on,

once they bite, they will not let go, they will keep pumping venom in

  • lol i LOVE that name Mr.brown

  • OK it's a very hyper and venomous critter... But is it as calculating as the mambas?? Lord I would hope not...

  • nice mulga

  • you are veryyy brave! frightening yet amazing snake!

  • what is that pink animal lookin thing in there with Mr.Brown?

  • A f/t pink mouse

  • Holy hell!!! Is that Mr Brown there on LSD?! Daaaamn...

  • yah browns are very jittery snakes, but thats a gorgeous snake

  • i took care of three snakes when i was 5 but they died last year from not eating

  • nice king brown man!!!

  • Aren't those contestable with the coastal Taipan for largest Aussie snake?

  • Yes, they get quite large....

  • Hopefully they calm down a bit as they hit the 7 foot size!

  • I hope so!!

  • after his dose of methamphetamine, lmao!

  • Yeeeesh! That snake is frigging psychotic!

I know that many of the Elapids are surprisingly agile, but this one takes it to the extreme.

Thank somebody that specimen is not one of those 7-footers. They have been known to reach those lengths; and you don't need to be reminded about the venom yield.

  • hey if your goin on holiday and your pets need to stay somewhere either a snake not venemos a lizard a tortoise or a parrot

  • yeah i do believe they are a bit faster than the inland taipan. its like a mamba on crack in my opinion. fast, aggressive and very potent. bad combo

  • Mr Brown forgot his daily dose of Ritalin.

  • Al, that is the scariest animal in your collection. My hat's off to ya -- he makes my White-Lipped Pythons look like lounging Burms, and he's lethal to boot!!

  • get back in their you toad ha ha

  • eakk that is so wrong

  • overdose on meth? whaat?

  • Oooo there cool O.o lol I love snakes i don't know why. =]

  • did he start to sing mr. brownstone

  • gets out again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you dont mind me asking AL..why do you keep browns? holding for a friend, research, or just love of the species? Just curiosity on my part as every vid of a captive brown I have ever seen has looked like a nightmare of a snake to maintain from a safety standpoint.

keep up the great vids! maybe will see ya at the hamburg show in passing.

  • I'm fond of the genus...and the challenge.

  • holy crap

  • Poor mouse. XD Nice Snake.

  • I don't feed live to my snakes. The mouse was frozen/thawed.

  • I know, but it was still sad to see a small living creature dead like that. Well, some things in this world are just meant to be. And that's what sucks about it.

  • I don't disagree but that's the system the creator put in motion.

  • u must wonna die.

  • ha ha this 1 is good i love watchin things like this

  • Nice acrylic hook! I like that setup.

  • Ace Capture Equipment makes nice gear.

  • That is one twitchy animal. Looks like he's got ants in his pants...

  • Wow!!!That snake looked like he wanted to bite you!lol

  • Hey viperkeeper! I really love your videos. I've gone from being a little scared of snakes to being absolutely fascinated with them. I have a question. Are some of your snakes more defensive because they are nervous about their unfamiliar surroundings or are we seeing what their behavior would be like in the wild? I was given to understand that they generally retreat without making too much fuss in their own environment. Please keep making the vids!!

  • Yes, snakes in the wild for the most part will flee if given the chance. Snakes become more dangerous when they are frightened of what they see as a threat. This is why I alway try to work with my snakes in a non-threatening mannor.

  • WOW that is a high energy snake!!

  • What do you work as?

  • Try asking the question again.

  • "They make mambas look like they're on prozac." (Al) !

    ;-)

    (Another unique comment we love!)

  • fantastic video - amazing how you dare try to work with them!

  • Which ones of your videos show truly scary stuff?

  • The green missle

  • yakub shut up, you try working with that snake and not be freaked out while he's striking.

  • You had a ring on the hide!!! I dont think i noticed if it was shown on other vids...cheater...hehe just kidding, was wondering how you were gonna put the hide back..using hands?? hehe nice one...will keep that in mind for future reference. :)

  • All the hides of that design have a pick-up rings at my place.

  • And i bet my fur they are not useless at your place ;) I know its something obvious keeping hots but kinda got me suprised...been a few years since i last messed with a venomous is my excuse i guess.

  • Hmm..a fur bet..hehehe

I know where and when I can press my luck. Most people are bitten putting something in or taking it out of the snakes cage. So I like to keep my fingers out of cages.

  • XD lol your right they do make mambas look like they are on prozac lol XD

  • I can't believe how calm you are around snakes as dangerous as these. You truly are a Snake guru, great vid.

  • Panic kills!!

  • mean little guy haha :) great vid

  • Freaking whipy! You got alot of guts to be working with snakes like that! So the Mulga and the king brown are preatty much the same species? I thought the spotted mulga was a whole diffrent species.

  • I sometimes ask myself the question "why are you keeping this loose cannon" Certainly keeps my reflexes tuned up. These are all the subspecies in this genus. I caught a wild Red-Bellies Black snake while in Australia, whoo-wee what fun that was!!

The spotted variety is just another species within the group:

    Pseudechis australis

    Pseudechis butleri

    Pseudechis colletti

    Pseudechis guttatus

    Pseudechis pailsei

    Pseudechis papuanus

    Pseudechis porphyriacus

  • Ahhhh I see that sounds like fun going out catching the deadliest snakes out there seriuosly! It definatly will keep your reflexes up that's for sure. One milli secound off and your screwed! The only elapid I ever held was an eastern coral snake. Still highly venomous would you say?

  • A very HOT little snake!

  • Do have any type of coral snakes? I find them fasinating!

  • No, they are very difficult to maintain in captivity.

  • Oh really? I dident know that. I would think all elapids would be difficult because they are just so fast and so venomous. Which one would you consider the easyest to care for?

  • Coral snakes eat other snakes...period...

Which cobras do you see people with mostly?

  • Yeah, at our local serpentarium we have a 14 foot Ophiophagus Hannah! Holy Hannah! A couple Monocle's and Spectacle's. And my favorite the Rinkhals.

  • That little brown is quite a spazmatic little monster lol.

  • Great vid Al, and yes it is sad...when people say.... First Comment Woop etc.... They need lives

  • I had a harmless garter snake years ago that acted like he was on meth. lol. That king brown you have is one wild child. I'm happy none of my agkistrodons are that hyper. Keep up the great work you do.

  • I have a San Francisco garter snake that is about as hyper but slightly less "bitey". I'm definitely glad it's harmless.

    Al, great video. :)

  • garter snakes are slightly venomous u know... I got bit by my checkered garter snake and it caused my hand to swell up for about a week. It was amazing what the lil' garter could do. Cheers.

  • Yeah, I know. :) That's why I chose to call them harmless instead of nonvenomous. ;) People always ask me that, "are they venomous", and I don't want to have to explain every time that yes they are venomous and then list all the reasons why they are harmless. But I do use the qualifier 'practically' most of the time. :)

  • first everything

  • I am at a loss why it's a major affliction to most people to exclaim they are the "First" to post, when that post in itself does not contribute to the discussion about the video at all.
