  • Hi, DarkWorior32154.

Did you try changing Chipset Config or IDE Config in BIOS Setup Menu?

It seems to be only because of the HDD Controller mode beeing changed.

    To everyone,

Recent BIOS does not save passwords in CMOS memory.

Older system used to save their all parameters in CMOS.

  • help my PC now only resets and i lost raid setup

  • u just put in 2 and 3

  • why dont u just use the jumper switch??

  • You cant do this with a note computer you have to short out bios chip.

  • Lol i always open my pc on a carpet and its still plugged it.

  • Hmmm, you wear a ground strap and your touching the chassis of the unit , but where is the continuity of the ground. The only way to ground yourself is to keep the unit plugged in (energized) so the ground can be drawn from the outlet! I watch these videos and folks may understand computers but they know ZERO about electricity.

  • buen bideo carnal gracias

  • hi i need help with a toshiba satellite it has h20 bios insyde... let me know

  • what is this on your hand?

  • Most pcs now have a small green Jumper thats says (pswd) beside it if you take that out you password will be removed instantly. if you take out the battery out of thoes pcs nothing will happen you have to take out the jumper. Dell pcs had this since 2001. much faster

  • @HZ241054 thats exactically what i had to do with one of my customer's passwords. the battery did nothing, but i took out the jumper and instantly it worked. what would be the down side of keeping that jumper out from that point forward and not ever putting it back?

  • Will this correupt any files?

  • @badboyforlife10195 no nothing will happen to files. bios password is usless and the jumper is a big security hole

but nothing will happen f you remove the jumper permanently

  • donsent work

  • LEAVE THE COMPUTERS ALONE AND GO BACK TO INDIA MOTHERFUCKER

  • The battery is only for keep the time on your PC, when you take out the battery is only for reset time Not bios reset you should correct that on your video.

  • @PAULCCFOX ha ha thats funny.have you ever done it and all the people that need help with bios password it will work depending on mobo

  • Now you get to have the fun of flashing the Bios with an update all over again:) Yay!

  • Doesn't work for all the computers, do you know that ? Usually on the motherboard is print in latters reset the bios (remenber is always a jumper you have to closed ) or like they tough me on the university the first jumper around of the processor is to reset the bios.

  • man it doesn't work. i put the battery out for 30sec don't work then i take out for 12min ,sitll there is bios password. it ' don't work

  • @dipeshgoku Hi, on most of the computer is print out in fine letters reset bios always a jumper or you can do is look for the first jumper around the processor, closed or open the jumper and power on and power off and put it back the jumper to the same position was before.

  • thanks a lot m8 you realy help me

  • i removed the battery and placed it back after a while and then when i started my computer the monitor says no visual input and then it goes to sleep mode :(

  • this will work ok for some computer but if the bios is non volatile this will not work and the only way to remove the pass word would be to remove the bios and have it re flashed or remember the pass word..:\

best thing to do is don't use a pass word.

  • sorry pal, removing cmos on sattelite range and others dont work cos the bios is on the eprom chip.i can remove the bios on sattelite l350 and eqivalents, its a piece of piss n ill tell you for free, contact me at ebbnflow046@live.co.uk

  • @StrainPesteHotare Thanks Strain, it worked perfect for me...

  • SALUDOS: Anexo video de ubicacion de contraseña, la cual no se eliminar. Espero y puedan ayudarma. GRACIAS DE ANTEMANO

  • you could of removed the clear cmos jumper instead of removing the battery.

I've done that many times and it worked.

  • @StrainPesteHotare LED is a flashing diode.. you meant jumper

  • You computer uses a Bios battery as he refers to it as i prefere to call it a CMOS battery

the Battery if i remember rightley is used to keep bios settings for deleteing everytime you turn off you computer so it basicley keeps the bios memory working :)

  • make sure that you ground yourself, so you don't affect the campaneants of da coumpoutar

  • Lol u dont need to do this XD I never have and my computer has never gone wrong

  • @LoGDamo

first off, i was mocking the guys voice, and 2nd, that is still not good, even though you don't see the difference, there is. You are releasing electricity into your parts every time you touch it, grounded or not. just when you "ground" yourself, you get almost all of it out. If you release a full shock of static electricity into your graphics card, it is like touching it 200 times "grounded." you should really touch something metal to get the amount of electricity released at minimum.

  • Will it cause any damage to the settings ?

Will it delete or remove the BIOS?

  • It's not deleting your entire BIOS, but yes - your BIOS settings will be reseted do their defaults among with the password.

  • some newer computers it wont work on as they want to protect it i guess

  • i know this metode but i have one mainboard and there its not working , it just stay asking for a password :(

  • find the "CLEAR CMOS" jumper and switch it to active position, then turn on the computer

  • @curlyboi89 i know. i found the jumper aready and cleared the bios password. but anyway thanks!

  • how do i do it ?

  • @temidayor1 its easy, you find the jumper, the schematics should be on the inner side of the case or in the manual to the mainboard (which is googlable:)) there will be 3 pins and 2 (ex. left and middle) of them will be connected with a little piece of plastic. that thingy is called jumper. just switch the jumper to the other position (ex. mid and right) and turn on the computer. you should get a warning and cmos erased. afterwards, turn the pc off and return the jumper to its original position

  • super power best video thnx

    100% working

  • taking out bettery of mainboard is not required at all -why make it more difficult?

  • I thought laptop bios passwqord reset. pfff

of PC everyone should know if they just read the manual of mainboard

  • Nice work dude, ty u

  • where u got that band from

    and is it critically needed?

  • omg some guys got me scared saying getting bypass ur bios password is easy

but after looking at this i know its not as a piece of cake as they say

they need to open my computer they will never do that

  • Does this work ??

  • this fucked up my old computer ;)

  • some time you need to leave it out for a little while. this can also fix a c mos check sum error

  • can make un a laptop?

  • Что за придурок 4 минуты видео о том что надо вытащить батарейку. Это помоему и так все знают. Я думал что нового покажет, а тут 4 минуты ваты

  • NICE VIDEO

I tried it on Pentium3 PC.

  • didnt work.why?

  • The most common way to reset CMOS, is using the jumper called the JBAT7 jumper, this has been the same procedure for many years. on some motherboards it has to be moved from the two pins it is connecting to the next closest pairs of pins. google your motherboard name make and model, find the documentation (usually a pdf file) and look for the name of the jumper in the documentation to find out which pins to connect the jumper connectors to or not.

  • thanks ,,,,,

  • how abot a laptop pc????

  • Four (4)! minutes explaining for taking out the battery. Without bla bla (mostly always the same in only other words) it would have been done in 5 seconds! Wasted time...

  • I took the battery out but it did not work....I have Dell 1000....can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

  • @happyboyy8k I'm not sure if it's still there on the newest computer motherboards/mainboards but there used to be something called a "jumper" for resetting the CMOS. the jumper is a very small white plastic square with a small piece of metal inside to connect two of the metal sticks it is placed on top of. do a google search w "jumper" + cmos, alternatively add "connect" or connector, and you should find some documents. Alternatively google the name and model of your motherboard to find the pdf

  • @gunthaarz removing the correct jumper should reset your CMOS or start it set to default with none of the later modifications like bios password.

  • thank sir. i thankfull to you

  • wow dude you made this waaaaaaaaaay more complacted than it actually needs to be. first off you dont need to unplug your computer, second you dont have to take out the battery. You can use a jumper and with newer computers there is just a button you can press. taking out the battery is much more complicated than just moving the jumper.

  • you might notice this is a old computer

  • hear it from him. safety measures.

and for the battery, sometime u need to unplug the battery coz it may have save small amount of data. of course u can open the jumper but unplug and plug the battery is some of probability measures.

  • even newer computer dont come with that "button" your talking about.

  • if any body does this reply please because i did it and it worked for my two computer that i fixed
