  • sickest car ever

  • needs ceramic brakes

  • SHould've reviewed a Katech Corvette with their torquer cam package. Bye bye ZR1.

  • This car is not to kck ZR1's Ass!(Same Team), This Car is to Kick Lambo, Porsche and Ferrari Ass!!!. We gotta stop this Vette on Vette crime.

  • That shit makes my weenie move!

  • cool car but I'll take the ZR1

  • @ScottieDTV

    why?

  • @kars1995 I just fell in love with the ZR-1..I be proud to have either..

  • @ScottieDTV but this c6z06 clubsport is better car

  • @kars1995 It may be..but the ZR-1 is a factory offer..if I had to pick one..ZR-1

  • This car is so much better than the ZR1. I wish when GM worked on the ZR1, they would have just made this car as it is immensely better. I want a TRACK car, not a drag car. Throwing a supercharger on a track car is just total dumbassery. Keep it N/A, improve the brakes, decrease the weight, give it coil overs, and work over a few other things. Katech got it right, GM screwed it up.

  • not really coil over suspension will decrease its drivabilty i think gm screwed where they should have used the ls7 engine and supercharged that way you get more power like in the 700s but gut out the sound insulation but put in dyno mat and use the z06 suspension but lose 50lb in the proscess

  • Ummm noooo coil overs are used in ALMS. Even the C6R swaps out the leaf springs for legit coil overs. You can fine tune rebound and spring tension with coil overs while you can't do anything with leaf springs. I could less about how much power the car makes. I don't want a drag car, I want a TRACK car. You could give the mofo 800hp and I could rape it's ass on a track with 600hp as long as I have a legit chassis, suspension, and power setup. SCs don't belong on real track cars.

  • wow... fail.... that ls7 block couldn't handle that 2.3L at 10.5lbs of boost.... break that block

  • @Camaros5678 What in the world are you talking about?

  • @justduck1313 shadowforce9 said "think gm screwed where they should have used the ls7 engine and supercharged that way you get more power like in the 700s"

Thats why GM DIDN'T use the LS7 block

  • absolutely right!!! a stupid 1/4 mile car..dime a dozen one to go out and dance with the best of them..priceless..where I live we have twisties..so welcome

  • If you get a good deal on a Z on eBay, then 40 grand may not be asking too much. Still, what an amazing car.

  • My car is better than yours rate it check it out !!!

  • wow thats a HIGH price just to smoke a ZR1 honestly go get heads, headers, catback, and a cam and you could hang with and pass if you got a good cam

  • 40 grand! I thought Linenfelter was expensive

  • @keptman25

Lingenfelter typically does more drag related engine mods, than racing engine tuning. Also, lingenfelter doesn't offer the track ammenities that the clubsport does.

  • super tasty!

  • super sweeeet!

  • Wow, what a car!!!

  • I couldn't justify spending this on my Z. Katech is top notch, but there are plenty of LSX, C5-C6 shops in the country that can get you this performance for less than 40 grand. Nevertheless, it's a hot ride.

  • this should have been delivered to us in HD. Great vid awesome car

  • With that much power, I'd highly recommend everyone purchasing the CS package to take high performance driving courses to handle the car.

  • that is MEAN

  • I'll go for ZR1.

  • 1 word.....BEAST!!!!

  • DAMN! WHAT A SOUND!!!

  • I want more pictures and videos of this Katech Z06 Clubsport.. it is my favourite corvette!

just listen to that noise! and look how tight it goes round the racetrack.. amazing! a Porsche GT3 competitor for sure

  • And this is how the ZR1 Should have been. Key Concept: "Lightweight"

  • Wow. 1.12g is pretty good. The last figure I saw for the ZR1 was 1.05 and that thing has good handling itself. I wonder how this thing stacks up on a track against the C6RS that Pratt & Miller makes.

  • they did a comparison between the ZR1 and C6RS. The ZR1 is faster so the clubsport should be a hair quicker. If I had the money I would own all three cars.

  • So when you say faster do you mean on the track or in a straight line? Also, do you have a link for the comparison or anything cause I would love to check it out. Thanks.

  • the C6RS is heavier than the ZR1 and the ZR1 is faster in a straight line as well as handling. The C6RS is more luxury. You can get it made almost anyway you wanted but as it was tested it was slower than the ZR1. The clubsport is the best imo since it out handles the ZR1 and I know I can get more power out of an LS7. The comparison was in an Autoweek Magazine.

  • sticks like stink

  • another badass vette... ready to kick tons of ass, just like the zr1...

  • Since "Club Sport" is already in the name, I guess this car is aim solidly at the weekend track day crowds. As some viewer knows, for a track day car, adding lots of power is not the best way to shred seconds off the lap record while adding substantial complexity to the race craft. I don't know about you guys, but unless you are highly experienced driver,I think a stock Z06 is already too much of a handful at the track for most.

  • That's a great sound. Probably sounds better than any other vette i've heard. But I rather buy a corporate supported ZR1 since these cars tends to break down more with so much tuned power.

  • How? All it has is bolt-ons. It still has a stock LS7 engine. Nothing is going to break more over a stock Z06.

  • These may be isolated incidents but on a few super tuned vehicles on motortrend, Road and Track, and Car and Driver, the Lingenfelters and Hennesey's often could not finish some tests due to malfunctions involving tuning issues like radiators blowing up and transmissions failing. Chevy put 2 years of research in the ZR1 where tuners rush the parts out and void dealer warranties. Chevy claims the LS7 can't handle much more power due to thin walls.

  • Katech just isn't any tuner. They had a hand in designing in the LS7 and make the LS7.R in the C6R and made the engine for the old C5-R. Chevy never claimed the LS7 couldn't handle the power, they just thought the LS3/LS9 block was safer.

I know personally of 3 stock block LS7's that are tracked at 720+whp with no problems. They are stout engines. Boltons like what are in the ClubSport package won't even phase it.

  • I agree.

Katech is perhaps one of the best names in the business..

  • The Corvette from Hell!

Bring that headline back, who cares what the librarians think.

  • Over priced. Way over priced. If you already have a c6zo6 it is still 40k more for the upgrade. RIP OFF.

  • The price for upgrades such as this, are not at all out of the norm. Just compare them to Lingenfelter or Hennessey.

  • then they are all way over priced.

  • great car they built but id rather go with a lingenfelter package

  • good sound =)

  • WELL gm IS LOOSING HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS SO THEY PROB CUT BACK

  • Agreed tp mauri123g I think for that price it doesn't look that great of a design. This vid. didnt play in HQ! But did load.

  • dam the vid isnt loading at all

  • The car is awesome, but I think they should change the design a bit, make it look like what you payed for.

  • @mauri123g Katech: Function over fashion....When it comes to racing and numbers, looks isn't a priority

  • @OS1TOuno I'd like to think that phrase applies to buying a cobalt, but you're buying a Vette, so you don't want to spend all that to get all of the Chevy hard plastics, and run-down looks, there's plenty of car that have plenty practicality, yet ooze with fashion, for around the same prize. I guess all I am saying is that if you're going to pay >$50K for a car, you shouldn't get the same stereo you get with the <$10k cars.

  • @mauri123g Haha yeah I see what you're saying. However, I own a time attack Evo9 and a rhd drag civic ( not trying to brag, just giving u an idea )...buuuuut I'm also very much into muscle cars as well. I was looking into buying a c6 z06 or 03-04 Cobra by the end of the year....It's time to go to the darkside....

  • @OS1TOuno Great car! Muscle is nice, I bought myself a Mercedes SLK350 three weeks ago, it;s no muscle car but the luxury is something the muscle cars should have. Let them say, "I'm just as good looking as you are, but my muscle will kick your ass in a heart beat" haha

  • @mauri123g HAHA!!...And congratz on the Benz buy.

  • k i saw it does it go any faster with the weight lost?

  • IIRC its was like a half second slower than the ZR1 on the same course.

  • i like this episode but takes ages for it to load for some reason

  • not for me. i just started playing it
