This heli is obsolete these days so unless you are getting a used one, you'll be buying a newer design. That said, the belt driven tail was a must because the plastic gears stripped so easily. The stock 400 motor had enough power for light aerobatics on a 3s pack, but the motor was only good for about 20 flights before the brushes cooked.
Do you have the motor? Mine was a 1st gen with a brushed motor. The setup is in the vid. The tail rotor gears were the weak point. I installed a belt drive.
this new one is the v2 it has belt drive but still has a brushed motor, but nothing else. this is the first one I've ever built so I'm trying to make sense of how to choose ESC, gyro, receiver etc. thanks
How well does this bird fly (basic 3D wise) with the stock brushed motor? How much power does it have? Thanks

Do you mean you're getting the mini zoom ep100? I have a mini-zoom ep100pro belt driven(gaui)it's much smaller, brilliant little heli!!!

Easy choice would be Castle Creation Phoenix35 ESC, Futaba GY240 gyro, Berg RX.

thanks, i'll look these up now. I'm painting my body parts so when i'm done i'll buy most of the parts at one time if i can find them online
