Haha, hate to break it to you, but Welcome to Lodoss Island does indeed come with Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. XD They have a 2-minute Lodoss Island clip at the end of each Chronicles of the Heroic Knight episode, right before the ending theme/credits.

This is probably the only part of the LODOSS dub that really grates on me. The dub for the OVA is very well done (much better than naysayers have said), and the TV one, while weaker, isn't all that bad (despite the inconsistencies and occasional clunker voice), but this sequence I simply skip over.

The actors are not the problem at all; they're supposed to sound super-deformed and "cartoonish", and they pull that off fairly well. It's the scriptwriting that weakens these sections, though; some of the jokes are funny, but most of the dialogue is really, really dumb in this sequence. Honestly, after watching an episode of this, I decided I couldn't take another one of it. The dub for the actual show, as I mentioned, is better.

It's so weird that while I like the LODOSS dub overall, the SD-skits are the segments that I truly skip over because I found them rather annoying. The voices don't really bother me, but the stuff they say in this clip are pretty dumb. The dub for the actual TV show isn't this bad, although it does pale to what I would argue is its more polished counterpart.
