man i love that car :D ANd this COmercial, And i loved that song before this comercial, SO the first time i saw it i was amazed, Good SOng, Good car, GOod COmercial. And its froM Mazda!!!!!!!! >:D
Great to see how it was done - but why no mention of your 'hyper-reality' consisting entirely of Chemtrails? - are you part of some subliminal campaign to normalise this phenomenon in the public perception?
Ok, to be honest, I didn't get the deeper messages that were apparently behind this video. In my opinion, the dancing helped make the commercial dynamic all right, but the connection between the dancing and the car, nor the representation of the various properties of the car by the dancers, or some sort of fusion of these properties into the car at the end weren't very clear.
I think a better visual separation of the characters involved could have helped get the concept out.
Oh, rereading I find my comment to be a bit too critical, but that was because I was thinking about what was said about all deaper meanings in this docu.
If you throw away all that 'ballast', and just look at the ad on itself, you have something very very good here! Like you explained in the comments of the ad itself, its appeal is very wide and not limited to certain markets or cultures. It is an open and light presentation that fits the car perfectly.
More thoughts: I didn't even drive it yet, but I think that this is a special kind of car, it's sporty and agile, without being an over-the-top racer; it's made in a smart way, but you don't need a BSc in Engineering to use the car; it's practical, but all but boring!
This car has the kind of charm that makes it fit for the hip crowd, the car-lover, your sister-in-law, and grandma. And it's that charm that the commercial hits as well, without spending a word about it. A very good job!
wow sofia was there :)

I, unfortunately, completely understand your difficulties... But never-the-less, thanks for your comments.
