Hulu plus is currenlty garbage on the ipod/phone to me because the previously free content cannot be accessed on them for legal reasons... same for the roku box so no tv play... but if you do it over a htpc... you can get it on tv.. im doing a video on it soon... VERY worth it...

@Emanouche Yes, Neflix is a great service but they don't really have anything new. The point of Hulu Plus is that you get new TV shows that have just aired on your TV and phone. Netflix doesn't have the last two season of Modern Family or the last season of South Park but Hulu Plus does.

Well, it might be good and convenient for someone else, but to me it has only been a frustrating experience as I have an excellent connection and still have to play the shows with it stopping midway to buffer in low resolution... so I watch 3 minutes, freezes, then resume, then stops again for commercials...raaaah! never had issues with netflix on much higher resolution.

Also would like this in canada. I think in the US if you pay for the 30$ plan you get unlimited data so it wouldnt be an issue. but in Canada the 35$ plan is only 5GB and there is no unlimited data plans.

1. not true. many apps for iphone are for wifi use and dont work over 3g. like facetalk is only available over wifi.

I like my Hulu+ We recently downgraded our cable, kept just the basic cable and Internet and added Hulu plus and Netflix which we watch on our PS3.
Also the Hulu plus app for the iPhone is awesome! It has made my lunch breaks much more enjoyable.

My response still remains that cable is way over priced compared to Hulu Plus AND they run many more ads then Hulu AND offer subscribers fewer options. Depending on what you watch Hulu Plus is a way cheaper option then cable and it still has few ads....and by the way a lot of the older programing as 0 ads just so you know.

@Emanouche Yes, Neflix is a great service but they don't really have anything new. The point of Hulu Plus is that you get new TV shows that have just aired on your TV and phone. Netflix doesn't have the last two season of Modern Family or the last season of South Park but Hulu Plus does.

@njolirk True but many websites from the different studios offer the current episodes for free on their website... Well, it might be good and convenient for someone else, but to me it has only been a frustrating experience as I have an excellent connection and still have to play the shows with it stopping midway to buffer in low resolution... so I watch 3 minutes, freezes, then resume, then stops again for commercials...raaaah! never had issues with netflix on much higher resolution.

@HunterTheMetalHead My device is not even 2 years old and is perfectly capable of running this app. Apple just decided to stop supporting it to make it appear as though its ok to lay down a fat $300 on and media device just because they say its out of date. you are right its not the fastest. but I dont want apple telling me when to upgrade, ill do that when it is actually broken. not just a year and a half old. This is exactly what apple wants people saying and its ridiculous.

does this stream over 3G? if so what kind of dent in your monthly plan with that make?
Also would like this in canada. I think in the US if you pay for the 30$ plan you get unlimited data so it wouldnt be an issue. but in Canada the 35$ plan is only 5GB and there is no unlimited data plans.
I am seeing more and more with new technology that Canada is being shit on. When will we be able to use all the great features of this great technology?

1. not true. many apps for iphone are for wifi use and dont work over 3g. like facetalk is only available over wifi.
2. No such thing as unlimited data plans on 3g in Canada
3. its not a blackout. its copyright laws and various publishers/production companies having different laws for US vs. Canada (same as with ebooks etc..)
