@hilmir I'm a huge Madonna fan. But the stories that the room mate tells are pretty consistent with the stories everyone who knew her will tell about her. Anyone who goes from the bottom to the top like Madonna did, has to have a huge ego. Is it really a surprise that the most successful female singer of all time has a big ego?
@andrewdancing i'm not buddhist, but i prescribe very much to the teachings. And Madonna's life story and where she is now, echoes very much the internal waking process of some individuals. Even the buddha came from riches, and would have a huge ego just from being a prince. But it wasn't bad or gd, it was just a way for him to awake. Getting progressively more egoistic and absorbed, before reaching "breaking" point, and eventually waking up and going in the reverse direction. Much like her, no?
@hilmir My comment below was a response to the statement that the roommate seems to have a chip on her shoulder and was complaining about Madonna. All I said was that the roommate had the same complaints about Madonna that many people have had. Therefore, I don't think it's that she has a chip on her shoulder, but is being honest about her experience. Do a search for the documentary "Madonna: Naked Ambition" and hear Erica Bell say that Madonna leaves people behind very easily.
This is definitely much more interesting than any of those MTV-esque type shows that I've encountered on here. Hearing from people who were particularly close to her makes my (and maybe other people's) perception of her much more realistic.
Is that footage of the dance classes actually of Madonna or are they just of other dancers doing the dances the person was describing? Anyway this thing is so cool, thanks!
