  • I miss those days.

  • Wow this was very rare...a manager 2 actually make a house show. And VERY rare for Arnold skoalland NOT 2 make a house show. I was a regular at the spectrum and heel managers were rarely seen. But skoaland was always there with backlund.

  • No entrance music. No pyros. No nothing but guys getting by on their guile, their talent and their abiity to work a crowd. I really miss these days.

  • orton ever get over to the title?

  • god bless the grand wizzard!!

  • @crystalbreezefan Definitely died too soon. He never got a chance to see "hulkamania" and professional wrestling explode all over the world literally months after his death.

  • Who's to say he didn't?

  • I wonder if the Grand Wizard of Wrestling could have ever gotten into Studio 54 with his ornate costumes?

  • LOVE the spot at 3:30. The Wiz didn't physically challenge many guys!

  • I never knew that the Wizard managed Orton.

  • yeah, back in the mid-80s and before, most ALL heels had a manager in the WW(w)F--including Jesse Ventura. They all had great mic skills, but for whatever reason if one was a "bad guy" they typically were put with Capt. Lou, Blassie or the Wizard. Not every heel had a manger--but MOST did. For some reason, the cage match I have posted on youtube with Ventura does not show Blassie, even though he managed him.

  • I believe Ventura was also managed by the Grand Wizard at one point too besides Blassie

  • I'm with you on that, I didn't remember anybody managing the future "Ace".

  • Classic! When wrestling mattered, not like today.

  • amen!
