  • : ) very useful, thank you

  • I like your video, but you talk too much. I could have gotten much more out of this video if you spent more time teaching grammar and not explaining why it's important to know

  • i was confused in the beggining thought u said je meant hi :)

  • at first i thought u said je means hi :)

im grade 8 so i was really surprised in the beggining

  • I just started to take lessons at Alliance Francaise, and your lessons on youtube is really helpful for me, especially it reinforces things i learned in class or forgot after class. Also that you explain how the pronunciation should be is particularly helpful.

    Merci beaucoup!

  • Only French phrase that i think is needed is how to say 'I Surrender'

  • Six minutes for learning only one sentence that most of the people already know?

  • @MissAtheist1 Yes this is how a language SHOULD be taught! I hate most of the lessons you buy where it jumps around to 100 different things at once then has you doing grammar structures in the first lesson.

  • I love this!!! :) Thank you so much for this lessons! I'm enojying it :) Merci :)

  • Wow!!! You are awesome!!! You make learning seem so easy. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world at large and God bless you! Any time you are in Delhi/India, you are welcome to my home.

    Je suis 名前

  • Hi Rémy! I'm going to try to write everything in French so you get an idea of how much I've learned from you.

Salut Rémy, Je m'appele Alfonso, Je suis de Mexique, J'AIME tes vidéos et J'ai appris beaocoup avec toi!! Ma copine est une professeur aussi, mais J'ai appris par moi même comme J'ai appris l'anglais, mais tes leçons sont très bones!!! Quand est-ce que tu va continuer avec la leçon dix-huit? Saludos desde México, tu español también parece ser muy bueno :) un abrazo!

  • @p0ncho It's all good! But did you know you're not forced to wirte "je" or "" j' " in capital letter ? :P

  • I am Canadian, so I know Quebec French, same with my sister and my dad. My dad is fluent, but since we are not even 15 we are choppy. You were talking about people understanding you. When we went to France even with a English, and Canadian accent people could understand us. It depends on how you pronounce the words

  • Thank you so much! This is much easier than the way we're taught in our online course.

  • I go to high school and take French. No offense, but they way you teach kind of confuses me.

  • @liarluis

    Non taken.

  • @jremy7 , I like the way you teach. My french teacher sucked, and the only way I passed in high school (I was about 16-17. I'm 20 now) Was from watching youtube videos, including yours. I had subscribed on my old account. I decided to refresh my mind and see how much I remember and came across you again. So thank you, you helped me pass French a few years ago.

  • @jremy7 man i love the way you teach it's been a BIG help, so i thank you

  • @jremy7

why french, this fucking language is spoken only in the little country french, learn this is completely useless.

  • @liarluis Actually I think it's kind've ingenious. Not just the fact that he's using Youtube as a learning device, but more the way that he sets his videos up so that you can almost use each video as a sort of building block; if you watch them chronologically, then you can usually watch any video in between and it will strengthen your knowledge. for instance if i watched 1-9 i could rewatch 4 and it would help me understand 10. i think it works probably better than a class because you can relearn

  • @liarluis What the heck's confusing?

  • Just started learning today ... Ejoyed the session .... J suis Happy ...

  • Je suis Chinoise. But BE FRANK, learning Chinese is still, very hard for me.

  • You suck, You make it more confusing then it really is. Very boring.

  • quite boring the way you make it.

  • I wanna say thank you dude you are awsome and i really need to learn french becasue the =girl im gonna get married to is from france and i hope i can learn it in time soo thank you

  • Would you bi interested in learning Polish?

In these times it's a quite useful language.

  • you're great :D i wanted to learn french and now im master of the english language xDDD**

  • Thank you Soo much!!!! My sister is from Canada so she speaks French!!! And I now can say a sentence to her!!!!

  • Thank you. I searched for such lessons for a long time now.

I speak 4 languages (russian , english , lithuanian, german) and now i want to learn french.

But it is impossible to do from books, because of a quite "special" pronounciation of letters.

One have to hear french to learn it!

  • this helped me alot

  • Merci :)

  • ca ces très bien .. mercii baeaucoup!

  • you were so helpful..

  • Hey guys, I recently started the '20 words a day' programme where I get people to learn 20 themed words each day. If you are interested in learning French easily please take a look at my channel, I really think it will help.

  • @thesupremevictory personnellement je ne trouve pas .... il y a vraiment pas des masse de français qui maitrise l'anglais ou alors il ont leur accent tonique absolument horrible et du coups on ne comprend rien du tout :-s

  • Combien de langues parlez-vous?

  • When i saw this particular lesson, I wasn't sure about how much I could learn from your lesson series. Now, after watching the first six lessons, I'm really impressed by your teaching. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world. By the way, before I saw your name, I thought you were from an English speaking country. You speak impeccable English.

  • Thank u Jeremy for the French lesson.. from TH ;-)

  • nice to find this kind of tutorials dude, im from southamerica, and i'd love to learn another language.

  • Great video, now before i start I know this doesent apply to all French people but whenever i have visisted France I find that people there havent bothered to speak English, when i attempt french i find it easier to speak english and then the people just turn arogont. Why in countries like Portugal, Spain and Germany they are fine to communicate with you in English if your having trouble with the native tounge. So why is it diffrent in france?

  • I love you...Thanks for that...M taking it 1 by 1 a week each...lets build on that eh????:D

  • It is the best video about learning french)) It really helpы!!! Thank you very much!!спасибки по-русски!!

  • @jremy7 moé shtun québecoé !!

  • @lovecarol32 Who's carol?

  • Now I know how it's difficult for english people to learn my language... There are a lot of exceptions in the most basics words. But keep working, of course it's not impossible ! And I think french is a a beautiful language, for the people from others countries. Bonne chance à vous. Vous en aurez besoin ! Ahah

  • Finasteride + Monoxidil is he answer

  • it is very professional done, thank you for your French lessons- it is very comprehensive...

  • it is very professional done, thank you for your French lessons- it is very comprehensive

  • YOU DONT HAVE A FUNNY ACCENT :)

  • thank u

  • somebody wants to practice french with me?

  • @mahlaheekah lol i want to learn french!

  • C'est un peu utile, mais pas vraiment voir comment mon bon français est bien pas vraiment que je pouvais faire mieux, mais ce que jamais vous remercier de m'avoir aidé à mieux comprendre le français mon professeur de français va ainsi de jeûner vous ne comprenez pas un seul mot qu'elle dit donc merci pour aller lentement. lol

  • @jremy7 dude, english, french, arabian ?are u a genius lol

  • I'm an asian tried speaking french..what do u think??

    /watch?v=Q2U1nfQAHKg

  • @noelmagness

Wonderful effort. I can understand most of what is said. :-)

  • @jremy7 thank you... :))

  • That is right! This is how all languages should be taught, u should speak so that u can be understood!

Many people that learn english in their school can't understand an english person on streets. For example they teach u

'What is your name? My name is Bob' where as in reality it looks like that

'what's ur name mate? am Bob, u?

  • @zahaj

You're right on one point : spoken languages are not exactly the same than written languages (and remy really learns you how to *speak* french). However, english adds some difficulties : non phonetic language, word stress and "schwa", which make believe that native speakers "eat" their words when they speak... I cannot find another example in Europe (among german, spanish, french...). Anyway, enjoy these lessons :)

  • merci........thank you i worried about pronunciation especially with my Jamaican accent will this affect me when conversing

  • tout bien je voulez vous fair ami bonjour salami avec beaucoup de vin sur mon epaule

  • thanks a lot:) now i think i am a french learner~ of course only the beginner...

always want to learn french, however, learning french is too expensive in taiwan:( much more expensive than learning english>< thanks to your video now i know how to tell others my name in french~

  • @Sqweek7 Je voudrais acheter un hamburger . I'm french.

  • hey, i'm french (from Rennes, Bretagne) and you don't have a strange accent at all!!! i kinda laughed for the first 20 seconds, but who doesnt in front of a "teacher" you don't know yet? ;p afterwards I was quite convinced, although I realised that when people say french is difficult and i say naaaaaaaaah.... well... 6 minutes and a half to explain I AM and YOU ARE, maybe it is indeed ;) bonne chance remy, et continue à promouvoir le Français, on en a besoin ;)

  • @jremi7 Une question! T' es Francais ou anglais? Parce que sérieusement j'en ai aucune idée.:)

  • @Guil118

    Je suis français d'origine :-)

  • @jremy7 I know what you guys said! using common sense of words from Spanish& English, and Je Suis from today :)

  • French and Japanese are not THIS hard... try to learn chinese and you will understand the meaning of "hard", lol. I'm french by the way. Good luck for all the people who are learning french. Bonne chance !

  • @MalaikaNina, not any more difficult than Russian or Parsi.

  • @MalaikaNina I agree with you, Chinese is just a whole different thing. I studied it and miserably failed.

  • @MalaikaNina Salut !! Bonjour ,.its easy to learn japanese than french, because the only silent in japanese is U not like french, almost all word are not pronounce according to its spelling so still japanes or any southeastasian laguage are much more easier to learn than french , arigato mina,..

  • @MalaikaNina

    @MalaikaNina

Chinese is hard because of all 1000s of heroglyphs, but you can learn to speak (not read) it fairly easy.

And as for the hardest grammar, those are Russian and German (ten exceptions for each rule...).

The hardest overall people hold Islandic. So chinese is not the only hard one.

    P.S. i speak Russian and German ;)

  • @MalaikaNina Chinese isnt that hard lols, im chinese trying to learn french

  • @MalaikaNina What The hell are you trying to say? French is, indeed, hard for those who don't know the bases! I've seen plenty of french people who don't know how to write properly! And , being a rich language with a lot of vocabulary, makes it even more complicated. Chinese is difficult because there is a lot of spoken dialects....but you can't compare...

    I'm a french speaker btw

  • Why do every english people want to learn French? All of us can speak english ! =D

  • @melouflette they all try to learn Spanish these days.

  • i only watched the first 8 seconds and your already AWESOME!!!!

  • CSI guy :O

  • @Nezerilification

Yep got a lot of comment on that shirt. Even someone at a restaurant asked me about it. But the shirt is no more... the logo faded and the shirt was worn out. It was given to me by a friend from Vegas. Funny thing... I've never watched the show :-)

  • Nice video! You make it so easy to understand! I think I'll enjoy learning French from you! :D

  • I WOULD LIKE TO BUY A HAMBURGER

  • @Sqweek7

  • @jremy7 @jremy7 HE said he wants to say ''I would like to buy...'' It's : Je voudrais acheter un hambourgeois. Or if you speak Canadian French like me: J'voudrais acheter un hamburger.'' LOLL

  • @jremy7 He said he wants to say ''I would like to buy...'' It's : Je voudrais acheter un hambourgeois. Or if you speak Canadian French like me: J'voudrais acheter un hamburger.'' LOLL

  • vous font paraître si facile :(

  • @Efrain891 * vous le faite paraitre si facile

  • Thankyou for this! I'm going to try my hardest to dispel the belief that us English are linguistically arrogant by learning the language of my Gallic neighbours!

  • Haha your face xD

  • U Rock! How do you say that!?

  • Good.helpful. Merci

  • hmmmm.... what do you think much more easy? FRENCH OR JAPANESE?

  • @bboybeng JAPANESE is one of hardest languages my dear ... so French is the easiest as English is known n spoken globally so getting into French is pretty easier THAN JAPANESE !!

  • thank you, very helpful. so could i say, tu es carol? (you are carol?)

  • @blondiegirl91interne

    You could ;-)

  • Good Job! i learned alot

  • Good Job! i learned alot christopher

  • C est tres ridicule...Comment faire un débutant pour comprendre cette video? Vous avez besoin de sous titres...No estoy de acuerdo con esta forma de enseñar. I m not agree with your kind of teach. Sayonara.

  • Merci beaucoup, Monsieur Remy :)

  • Bonjour Remy :) Je suis Lauren et je suis Canadien. Merci beaucoup pour le video!

My French is very limited right now, but my eventual goal is to become fluent. I took French in school until I was about fifteen, so it's been roughly 7 years since I was immersed in the study of it. I'm starting from the very beginning again so that I can really get a firm grasp on it. I'm going to continue watching your videos. Cheers! :)

  • o__o oh, it's actually easier when you know spanish too. The same thing happened when I started learning Japanese, once you dominate two or more languages, you see some similarities between those ones and the ones you're trying to learn. So it's no wonder you're learning Spanish and German too, nice work. And thanks for the vids btw.

  • great! thank you!

  • would that mean am is suis

  • @gogglecrab

    Suis-je?

"To be or not to be, that is the question"

  • @gogglecrab Yes it is 'am' actually, je suis americain means i am American, je suis francais, I am french.

  • Hi Remy, I am a french beginner,, just found out your videos a couple of hours ago and watched them all over. Thank you very much for making them. I learned a lot from you. When are you planning to make more videos? and another question out of curiosity: how many languages do you speak? --best wishes.

  • @zhenran

I do plan on making more lessons.

I speak English, French. I'm learning Spanish and have some knowledge of German. I also studied Latin and ancient Greek.

  • you are possibly the savior of my basic french course

    thank you <3

  • @jackerious1

    Possibly ;-)

  • Salut je suis megan et j'essaie d'apprendre le français afin que je puisse comprendre les noms des pâtisseries mieux et que ce serait amusant de parler une langue étrangère autre que l'arabe et japonais et en anglais grâce à l'lessons.and votre accueil pour regarder my mum speaks it as well
