I read in another post that it wasnt planned. During a technical glitch someone in the crowd shouted "Bass solo take one!" and Rob started playing it. You can also tell it wasnt by the way Rob's has his bass guitar over his knee (obviously not practiced for a live show). Just AMAZING!

@motorstorm78 This is Rob's huge surprise. 8 years ago he asked Cliff's father if he could play Anesthesia live when the time was right. He was given permission. This was the perfect opportunity. Someone in the crowd yelled "BASS SOLO: TAKE ONE!" and he smiled knowing that the time was there. He played... the entire arena, including the band, was in tears. Even Apocalyptica was in shock. Rob will never play it live again.
