Every Nascar game by EA Sports is a fucking shit. Nascar Racing 2003 beats them all. It's sad that a 2009 game can be worst that a 2003 one, but that's the reality.

That was not a burnout... you have to get into the gas slowly like your letting out of the clutch. You can adjust the setup by clicking R1 or L1... YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE GAME BEFORE YOU MAKE A REVIEW!!!

You should look into getting a nice computer and buying a real sim. If you want the most realistic physics with damage that not only looks sweet, but effects the performance of the car. And just so you know, The final version of gran turismo is supposed to have a pretty extensive damage model. But has been pushed back till Dec 31, 2009. So you could wait for that

Hes not a noob, hes just used to Sim Racing...not EA sports. If you listen, he says he has it on pro with all assists off. Cant say if he has it on Hard AI or Rookie...but i bought this game to, and qualified pole on Pro with all assists off and AI as hard as they go first time i did every track. Until you've played ARCA sim Racing or NR2003 you cant talk lol

You get the pole yeah sure but you dont just pull away like he did on pro and everything off. Just doesn't happen. I have the game, go try and play mind games with other noobs that dont have it.
Good call. I will agree the AI are not THAT easy if you crank them up. BUT what i was talking about is when you said "Play it on pro controls and you wont even make a lap" He does have it on pro controls. Its not about you having this game, its about you not having a real sim, Arca sim racing, Rfactor, or any papyrus game. EA is ten times easier to drive and cant even compare to the physics of a Sim.
The only thing that kept me from feeling like the purchase was a total waste is the online. There's some decent drivers on there, and you can have quiet a bit of fun.

But yeah the Hard AI at this track is easier for some reason... it may be the truck series in general not sure. But bottom line they need to adopt a pc numerical scale ai 75-130 vs... ezy,nrml,hard. Play the Hard AI at new hampshire in the cup series... for a better experience.
broke down and got this for 360... my oh my.. it is pretty. All you could ask for in terms of graphics. Fun career mode. Still needs a little work in terms of audio, netcode, and single player AI. Physics works well considering they had to make it work for wheels and gamepads. Not easy to do.

You are correct about me and arca, yet im not even sure it works after sitting under my coffee mug since i got it. I spent just enough time with it to know it wasnt worth a dam. You like most of the guys that ran away from n2k3 couldnt make it there and thats fact. As far as racers, man ive raced, won and been beatin by the best. Brad Davies, Josh Scroggin, Derek Woods, and so many more aint even funny. Fire up your 2k3 because i aint gonna waiste anytime on an inferior sim.
Actually i will apologize, when i stated the stuff about flat footing it, rFactor should had been in place of ARCA. That i do apologize for. It does'nt change the fact that arca feels just like it. Being an ISI engine thats to be expected. In 7 years ive won well over 500 league events. Ive Raced Jr. and TJ majors both at Racenut racing and honestly wasnt that impressed. You got questions about me being fast ask them yourself. In under 6 months at that league i won over 70 races.
so you guys know there way more car settings than what he showed. look at top when he is showing the car setting. you can adjust just about everything on the car. personally i love! I was a beta tester for iracing and i think it better stockcar racing in nascar 09. i use a g25 steering wheel. he had AI on EASY!!!!!!
That was set on hard, everything maxed out.. Not Easy bud.. I'll prove it in my review that will be out next week.
Nascar 09 is definitely better than I expected. The online racing is horrible compared to whats out.. To Strickland below.. NR2003 is crap compared to Arca.. I'd rather have the 11 tracks in Arca with those physics and multio code over NR2003.

One last thing.. Can you play any of the above on a $400 computer ?
All of EA sports so called "SIMS" are junk. Rfactor was a liscene or EA and so is ARCA. Pure junk. If you want the closest thing to sim racing out there, grab a copy of Nascar racing 2k3 season, offf ebay or just wait for the Iracing Sim to come out. IRacing is using the same core Sim physics as N2K3 did. When this sim started the real stock car guys tried it and still use it to this day to practice the real deal. Even with all the new crap out they still use 2k3. That should say it all.

Dale Jr won a race running Arca last week.. I also interviewed him saying it promoted great racing and was much better than what used to be out..(NR2003) I posted it as a Video Response above ^^^
While it is true Jr and HIS dmp racers have run a few arca races. There league STILL uses nascar racing 2003 season as its primary sim. Hmmmmm, i wonder why that is. I do believe they will be likey to switch to iRacing when its out to the public. Not Arca. ARCA is at the level the free mods over at rfactor. Maybe. No where near the realism when it comes to the physics. The only complaint in 2k3 really was the net code. Iracing hopefully has fixed this. Like i said, EA trash in and out!

I dont know anyone on the real track who can flat foot a COT at alanta. Correct me if im wrong there but how is that possible? Maybe a qual lap. Not in race for a full fuel run. Ohhh i didnt even mention that i took the same setup to texas, then chicagoland and flat footed them. What a joke!

I plan on getting this for the Xbox 360, but I'm gonna wait and see what professional reviewers say. If IGN gives it anything better than a 7/10, it's a for sure buy for me.

Looks decent but I'm not buying a wheel for the PS3 when I already have one for my PC. I have no where to set up a wheel for the PS3 anyway and I don't want a sim cockpit sitting in the middle of my living room. Pass.
All Logitech wheels work on the PS3 and PC.. Thanks for your opinion and letting us all know that you don't want a cockpit sitting in your living room.
Don't have a Logitech wheel. I have an old Microsoft FFB wheel that still works fine so would have to buy another wheel and pedals for the PS3.
My comment about the cockpit in the living room was a comment on the fact that setting up a racing setup on a PS3 is just not very practical and only for the real goofy nerds amongst us. Yes, that would be you I am referring to.
Contiued from my comment below, Well anyways I was saying that Kyle spun me sideways and I had to start 43rd dead last. In 3 laps to go I only could make it up to 13th place pretty good but I love they added the slow down if ya hit the wall or the side of cars. In 08 I'd of Won in 3 laps. I Won all 36 races in a Season in the 360 version of Nascar 08 I'm good at the setups and I see they have setups in this one to. So I'm happy for that. But I love its way more Real life racing in this Version!!
Also did you hate in this Nascar 09 just like the old 08 version that if you get spun sideways you always start dead last? I found that out to and was REALLY pissed they kept that in. Makes ya nervous once again to be around cars. It was weird LOL I was racing at Lowes on the Demo 17 laps with Dale Jr and with 5 to go that idiot Kyle Busch the 18 car was behind me cause on this Version you can't get away from them lol. Well I had led all laps till he spun me sidways like he does Jr in real life
Do they have a store your Trophy area like in prevous nascar games? I have the PS3 demo but it just has a few features on that as you may know by now lol. I already found out there isn't a Victory lane in 09 either which pissed me off but oh well. If they didn't add that they better have a trophy area you can store WINS and place in a room like in prevous versions as well as collecting your Championships to. I hope you noticed that theres more things to do with the setup press R1 theres a lot more you can do like springs and tire pressure and track bar and grill tape and a lot more.
I didn't re film it.. But you can see them in the video above and for my fullr eview I'll show it.. I Went out late last night to test.. Milwaukee again, HARD AI, Adaptive off.. I got it to be +29 on my reputation modifier.. Used the VETERAN setup and sat on the pole, won by 5 seconds in a 20 lap race.. Lapped half the field too.. This is with every aid off and as hard as i could possibly make it.. Maybe the Nationwide and Cup drivers are faster ?
Also, how do the arca sim stock cars compare to rfactor stock cars...? I love rfactor but I must say the stock cars seem a little off in it. At some of the big tracks, you only have to turn the wheel like a centimeter to the left while going around the track.. not realistic.
If EA could improve the AI speeds they would finally have something. Not to mention lose the "slingshot ready" junk. I am not buying this year due to the AI.. I would also like to see a race with the AI on Hard with adaptive off. In 08, eazy was a joke, medium still a joke, hard was just off.. you would blow by them on the straight and they would blow by you in the turns.
Come on guy. How about learning your way around the menus before spreading misinformation. Pro has no effect on the AI - there is an AI setting which you obviously had on EASY. Lets see you poll with the AI on hard and adaptive turned off. Also check the garage again, you skipped about five pages of tuning options while you were too busy calling it basic.

Cant say if he has it on Hard AI or Rookie...but i bought this game to, and qualified pole on Pro with all assists off and AI as hard as they go first time i did every track. Until you've played ARCA sim Racing or NR2003 you cant talk lol

Actually I can talk because I have this game and is no where near that easy.
You get the pole yeah sure but you dont just pull away like he did on pro and everything off. Just doesn't happen. I have the game, go try and play mind games with other noobs that dont have it.

Good call. I will agree the AI are not THAT easy if you crank them up. BUT what i was talking about is when you said "Play it on pro controls and you wont even make a lap" He does have it on pro controls. Its not about you having this game, its about you not having a real sim, Arca sim racing, Rfactor, or any papyrus game. EA is ten times easier to drive and cant even compare to the physics of a Sim.

The only thing that kept me from feeling like the purchase was a total waste is the online. There's some decent drivers on there, and you can have quiet a bit of fun.

He doesnt even see the intense custom setups page. his head would explode if u saw them. He sucks at commentating. But yeah the Hard AI at this track is easier for some reason... it may be the truck series in general not sure. But bottom line they need to adopt a pc numerical scale ai 75-130 vs... ezy,nrml,hard. Play the Hard AI at new hampshire in the cup series... for a better experience.

broke down and got this for 360... my oh my.. it is pretty. All you could ask for in terms of graphics. Fun career mode. Still needs a little work in terms of audio, netcode, and single player AI. Physics works well considering they had to make it work for wheels and gamepads. Not easy to do.

You are correct about me and arca, yet im not even sure it works after sitting under my coffee mug since i got it. I spent just enough time with it to know it wasnt worth a dam. You like most of the guys that ran away from n2k3 couldnt make it there and thats fact. As far as racers, man ive raced, won and been beatin by the best. Brad Davies, Josh Scroggin, Derek Woods, and so many more aint even funny. Fire up your 2k3 because i aint gonna waiste anytime on an inferior sim.

Actually i will apologize, when i stated the stuff about flat footing it, rFactor should had been in place of ARCA. That i do apologize for. It does'nt change the fact that arca feels just like it. Being an ISI engine thats to be expected. In 7 years ive won well over 500 league events. Ive Raced Jr. and TJ majors both at Racenut racing and honestly wasnt that impressed. You got questions about me being fast ask them yourself. In under 6 months at that league i won over 70 races.

so you guys know there way more car settings than what he showed. look at top when he is showing the car setting. you can adjust just about everything on the car. personally i love! I was a beta tester for iracing and i think it better stockcar racing in nascar 09. i use a g25 steering wheel. he had AI on EASY!!!!!!

Nascar 09 is definitely better than I expected. The online racing is horrible compared to whats out.. To Strickland below.. NR2003 is crap compared to Arca.. I'd rather have the 11 tracks in Arca with those physics and multio code over NR2003.
iRacing kicks ass too.. but for a price..
One last thing.. Can you play any of the above on a $400 computer ?

All of EA sports so called "SIMS" are junk. Rfactor was a liscene or EA and so is ARCA. Pure junk. If you want the closest thing to sim racing out there, grab a copy of Nascar racing 2k3 season, offf ebay or just wait for the Iracing Sim to come out. IRacing is using the same core Sim physics as N2K3 did. When this sim started the real stock car guys tried it and still use it to this day to practice the real deal. Even with all the new crap out they still use 2k3. That should say it all.

While it is true Jr and HIS dmp racers have run a few arca races. There league STILL uses nascar racing 2003 season as its primary sim. Hmmmmm, i wonder why that is. I do believe they will be likey to switch to iRacing when its out to the public. Not Arca. ARCA is at the level the free mods over at rfactor. Maybe. No where near the realism when it comes to the physics. The only complaint in 2k3 really was the net code. Iracing hopefully has fixed this. Like i said, EA trash in and out!

shows how much you know, iracing has little to none support for leagues. (you can request to race with buddies.) So how can DMP move over to it? Play it yes. It looks great. BTW NR2003 is nowhere near how a real car handles LOL.

Rotflmao, Arca and the EA wannabes you like so much are for fellas like you who couldnt handle 2k3. Period. If arca is where it is at why hasnt DMP switched? Duh!! its a EA joke! One sorry attempt at a sim. Once Iracing works theres out, there will be more league support. That was stated in one of there news letters not long ago. Ill agree that 2k3 doesnt drive like the new COT. Having said that, it does drive like a 2k3 Cup car, or at least as close as ANYTHING out there has come.

I was bored so I looked at the page, GUESS WHAT ALL THREE SERIES ARE ARCA. I'd love to be that ignorant.Denny Hamlin said 2k3 Pocono only helped with visuals, but the ARCA Pocono was spot on. Do you honestly think you can slide on asphalt and still have tires at the end of a run? Do you think you know better than real engineers and drivers? Have you even tried ARCA?
I can't wait till IRacing comes out though.

Ive tried ARCA, and still stand by what i said. The ISI engine has yet to produce a stock car sim worth a dam. Explain to me how 10 minutes in the Setup screen and i got a flat footed car at alanta? I dont know anyone on the real track who can flat foot a COT at alanta. Correct me if im wrong there but how is that possible? Maybe a qual lap. Not in race for a full fuel run. Ohhh i didnt even mention that i took the same setup to texas, then chicagoland and flat footed them. What a joke!

As a former Sim racer (Yep I used a non feedback thrustmaster back in the day) you didn't trash the game, when to be honest with the crap EA has pushed out in the past when it's come to NASCAR you could have I liked your VID. when will you do a full review?

Looks decent but I'm not buying a wheel for the PS3 when I already have one for my PC. I have no where to set up a wheel for the PS3 anyway and I don't want a sim cockpit sitting in the middle of my living room. Pass.

Don't have a Logitech wheel. I have an old Microsoft FFB wheel that still works fine so would have to buy another wheel and pedals for the PS3.
My comment about the cockpit in the living room was a comment on the fact that setting up a racing setup on a PS3 is just not very practical and only for the real goofy nerds amongst us. Yes, that would be you I am referring to.

Contiued from my comment below, Well anyways I was saying that Kyle spun me sideways and I had to start 43rd dead last. In 3 laps to go I only could make it up to 13th place pretty good but I love they added the slow down if ya hit the wall or the side of cars. In 08 I'd of Won in 3 laps. I Won all 36 races in a Season in the 360 version of Nascar 08 I'm good at the setups and I see they have setups in this one to. So I'm happy for that. But I love its way more Real life racing in this Version!!

Also did you hate in this Nascar 09 just like the old 08 version that if you get spun sideways you always start dead last? I found that out to and was REALLY pissed they kept that in. Makes ya nervous once again to be around cars. It was weird LOL I was racing at Lowes on the Demo 17 laps with Dale Jr and with 5 to go that idiot Kyle Busch the 18 car was behind me cause on this Version you can't get away from them lol. Well I had led all laps till he spun me sidways like he does Jr in real life

Do they have a store your Trophy area like in prevous nascar games? I have the PS3 demo but it just has a few features on that as you may know by now lol. I already found out there isn't a Victory lane in 09 either which pissed me off but oh well. If they didn't add that they better have a trophy area you can store WINS and place in a room like in prevous versions as well as collecting your Championships to. Can you answer me on these Questions? Thanks!

I didn't re film it.. But you can see them in the video above and for my fullr eview I'll show it.. I Went out late last night to test.. Milwaukee again, HARD AI, Adaptive off.. I got it to be +29 on my reputation modifier.. Used the VETERAN setup and sat on the pole, won by 5 seconds in a 20 lap race.. Lapped half the field too.. This is with every aid off and as hard as i could possibly make it.. Maybe the Nationwide and Cup drivers are faster ?

Also, how do the arca sim stock cars compare to rfactor stock cars...? I love rfactor but I must say the stock cars seem a little off in it. At some of the big tracks, you only have to turn the wheel like a centimeter to the left while going around the track.. not realistic.

If EA could improve the AI speeds they would finally have something. Not to mention lose the "slingshot ready" junk. I am not buying this year due to the AI.. I would also like to see a race with the AI on Hard with adaptive off. In 08, eazy was a joke, medium still a joke, hard was just off.. you would blow by them on the straight and they would blow by you in the turns.

Come on guy. How about learning your way around the menus before spreading misinformation. Pro has no effect on the AI - there is an AI setting which you obviously had on EASY. Lets see you poll with the AI on hard and adaptive turned off. Also check the garage again, you skipped about five pages of tuning options while you were too busy calling it basic.
