@boodiba ja, the influence of "group energy" is quite amassing. by the way, i cannot see some of your videos i think due to some copyright issues concerning the music in your video :(
@1klabautermann Oh ya probably. I never bothered to fix them. Such a drag that flagging... I don't make any money off this stuff. Maybe that's part of the reason it's not as much fun to make & post clips! Well plus all the exciting stuff happens at the shala... that free standing Tiriang Mukkhasana or whatever it's called...
@boodiba "Such a drag that flagging" sounds nice though I don´t quite understand it (I´m not a native english speaker). anyway, it makes fun WATCHING your clips.
I've never had an assist in upavistha. Of course in a shala baddha k!!! If someone comes around. Greg had me try the first pose of 5th the other day as an addition to the 'C' position... Was funny! I was not quite able!
I don't practice samakonasana, no... Manju used to give people that in the prasaritas, and Greg gives that to most of his students. For some reason not to me. He never let me do hanumasana either, but now I've got the pose in 3rd.
I'm curious about why your guru didn't let you do splits. I started out in tae kwon do, so when I got into yoga, I was able to do hanumanasana and samakonasana, but it took me forever to approach lotus. Do the splits make it harder to open your hips for lotus?
@dospooks I don't know - he was my first main teacher and gave splits to practically everyone else. First people had to be thru 2nd and then he started giving them to people half way through. Me? No. But in the interim Id been given more than half of 3rd by my 2nd main teacher. Maybe it was because I was so close to Hanuman in 3rd. And now Im changing teachers again
You should've seen 2nd series today. I raced through it like I was being paid for speed. It's cause I started off irritated. Sometimes it's fun. It's all movement and flow and no thinking. No time for thinking!
Right. But of course you have to be proficient enough in the asana where the getting into them can happen with ease and be, for the most part, on the breath. And THEN it becomes a moving meditation.
By the time I get to Fridays, primary is a JOY. Seriously. It's all, la-la-la.
Well Ive not quite got to the moving mediation bit yet but Im hoping it will all fall into place one day soon... :) Maybe I'll be all la-la-la too then :)
nice video and good yoga. but does listening to green day help? never tried that...

@1klabautermann I just like to play music when I practice at home, most of the time anyway. It kind of substitutes for group energy for me.

Thank you! I torture myself over my weakness, probably overly so, but there are some things I'm good at.

I didn't realize the upload actually worked this time! Thanks. That's me just slamming out the primary & gettin' thru with it.

I wish I could just slam stuff out like that - it is really beautiful :)

That's what's so good about it - just being in the moment and not thinking. It's a marvellous way to escape sometimes :)

Everyone's got different experiences and development paths, but I think it's like PJ said, practice and all is coming.
