Because of the numbers. It was widely believed that franken was his father's father, but his mom never fessed because it was a bigoted time. There is good circumstantial evidence in this, and the fact that Hitler destroyed all records of his family, and turned his hometown into a bomb range, so he's likely either a jew or a gypsy. The absolute evidence comes from modern DNA testing. Google "hitler DNA" for all the proof.
