I kinda like the gas burners. I think some of the larger truck engine makers would do better to put 400-500 CID turbocharged gas engines and do away with having to comply with diesel emission standards. They would make just as much power and probably be cheaper to work on and burn about as much fuel.

I think they would use too much gas for today's standards.. Consumption of a diesel engine is down to half of that of an equivalent gas engine.

Old trucks like back in the 40s and 50 used to run hall scotts in them and ran on propane. They were the big monsters back then.
