After you get the main feel and balance you just keep getting better and more confident woot took me 2 months at 26 years old to get the balance right and now at 41 its just like walking lol

I'm thinking about buying a unicycle...how long does it take to leanr? & does it need a lot of practise or is it like a bike where once you've got the hang of it you've learnt it forever?

Is this is right next to the South East Rec Center that's next to Fairview High School in Boulder? I'm assuming it's at the Boulder Unicycle Club, since that's where they meet, and they play unicycle hockey!! that's soo cool, I'm going to the club this Friday.

that is pretty cool that they are interested in unicyling at that young of an age. It does piss me off everytime i unicycle and people say "do a trick" yea...riding a unicyle is a trick in itself. Or they say stupid shit that reffernece me to a circus. I may not be that good. Check out some of my videos of unicyling.

this is probably the best way to learn it when you are on your own - except that you shouldn´t touch the fence with both hands, just with the one on the side where the fence is, because otherwise you turn the unicycle towards the fence

Having to teach kids how to ride a unicycle on a daily basis I can say officially that these kids are really really good at this.

try starting between two tables, or in a narrow hallway untill you get confident enough to go on your own, and theres no shame in flapping your arms about like a crazy person :)

HDBeamy, the secret to unicycling is to lean forward as much as you pedal, this may sound odd, but that's the secret, and yeah it's ok to flap your arms around, and it also helps A LOT if you put most of your weight on the seat not the pedals, It took me 3 months to learn to ride mine, my friend learned his in a week lol :p
