i have to say that the singer in my band bought this guitar and its awesome.ive kinda always been skeptical of the cheaper guitars but this one blew me away.i cant believe how good the pick ups sound, they pick up all the natural harmonics really and and they ring.for 300 bucks brand new theres not much thats gonna top this for the price..

@aj2361 It depends on how long you have it. I just recently got one and tune the shit out of it. Everytime i divebomb on it, it drops down about half a step and then i have to retune it about 3 time before locking the nut at the top of the floyd rose and then fine tune it at the bottom. Other than that, totally worth it

@vOuijaa you can put active pickups in any guitar they just have to fit the routes like it has to be an active humbucker to replace the passive humbucker or a active single coil to replace a single coil anything that is the right size and fits in the hole works.

@Nunfunter Yea they're just the stock esp ones but lemme tell you they're amazing holy shit...like i went to guitar center just today to try a bunch of guitars out cuz im buyin a new one...i didnt think much of this one until i played it...it sounded better than some 1k and 2k parkers and gibsons...simply astonishing go try one you won't be dissapointed

@CarzCrazyPG I hear you man, I picked one up for $580 because they were having a sale and got a free Korg Multi-FX pedal, best 580 I've ever spent, considering the Guitar retailed for 850 and the pedal 200. Wicked guitar, defintely built for speed, I'm amazed at how much faster I can play on it. The Floyd Tremelo is a bit of a bitch though, which is fair I guess, being a budget model, totally owns most of the Gibsons, but it's generally a metal Guitar anyway.

@rokudaime41 I've tried both and i realy like the esp it just feels more comfortable and looks way cooler..IMHO it sounds much better to the pickups on that ibanez are alright but idk for me they weren't as crisp as the esp...but def go try out both of em cuz it is partly a matter of preference as well

I think they stay making money due to the amount of Artists that play them. Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Jeff Hannemen and Willie Adler. But yes they are all just copies expensive ones at that too. To Buy a Regular ESP NOT LTD is maybe $1500+. I mean if your gonna buy a REALLY expensive guitar i would buy a jackson USA model for like $2000.

O.k. the pickups are original,I have this guitar black exactly the same,it's amazing for the price but here's what you do lower the bridge just until there's no buzz at the lower frets then adjust the high e and b+g strings buy moving the bridge adjustments back for sustain;open the back ease the springs a little for better floatation,then adjust neck p/ups to your own specs and then you got about the best bang for the buck I've personally come across....good luck

m100fm is absolutely incredible, the tone is great and versatile, thin neck made for shredders. floyd rose tremolo and a locking nut, ensures it stays in tone no matter how hard u whammy. and as u get better, upgrade to a EMG 85/81set or 81/81. and it'll sound like a $1500+ guitar
