I don't mind comparing Martina's and Olivia's version. They carry different emotions, and this version sounds more mature. Why bother with comparing the two? This song by itself is amazing!

Olivia's voice has aged like she has - beautifully! The voice is coarser but stronger but her voice control and breath control and most of all her emoting is still impeccable. Used to be sweeter and smoother but even now it's still sweeter and smoother than Martina's. Martina is a great singer with a great voice but for this song, Olivia's version is more tender and heartfelt and more befitting of the song. At any rate, this "old bag" was idolized by Martina growing up, so show some respect !!

This lovely song amazes me, whether Olivia or Martina is singing it. What I find even more lovely is that after almost 40 years, Olivia's beautiful voice is still as wonderful and amazingly unchanged as it was the first time we heard it. (If Not For You, I believe!)
