I've always heard Morrison say that the Doors were better when they played blues. I pretty much disagree. Their own original material came out so much better than just another blues they did (sometimes) boring renditions of. Two of my favourite tracks on "Morrison Hotel" for instance are...older songs they used for the first time ("Waiting for the sun" & "Indian Summer"). "The Soft Parade" album is one of a kind and much better than their version of blues. That's just my opinion though.
Jim Morrison, I know you can read all the posts here. I love you. However, before we make up, when I get home be prepared to fight. You thought I was scared! Kick boxing, martial arts, you choose, and practice while I wait for transfer. The Venerable Masters have been instructed. Then we shall have peace. I hope you feel ashamed. My father has evacuated many people to the new earth. The greedy toads are fighting over this cancer eaten planet. The Super volcanoes are going to blow soon.
My uncle who sadly passed in 2008 worked for the french sondage d'action that dealt with the paper work regarding people who wanted to change their names maintained that he dealt with a James Douglas Morrison in August 1972 one month after he started his employment.he indicated that he never met the guy but had seen an original birth certificate and a recent photograph of a shaven headed plumpish man who was 29 at the time.
He maintained till his death it was Jim morrison of The Doors...
@blacklikemichaelj Jim Morrison lived not very "blessed" life. Person is drinking and using drugs hardcore not because "he's oh soooo happy", but because most of the time person is either depressed or finds no enjoyment in outer world. His premature death is clear sign of life of not very happy person and it happened because he allowed self-destructive behaviour to dominate his life. Don't get me wrong - Morrison was very talented and charismatic but he was by no means leading a "blessed life".
@Ausiz aww i love him, he means so much to me, and you know think about it in way he is blessed, i mean how amazing it is to be dead and still live through generations and generations, i think its amazing, and who he was, how he lived, what he did, words he said, is all something new and beautiful to me, like a lost prophecy. Who knows how he died, and you know a mans got to have a drink, i don't know and u don't know whether he was depressed or not, and maybe he was and thats what made him him
