Help! The frustration is killing me. Once I've created a project in green screen, can I edit the clip in the project? As in take certain sections out bc it's too long?? I can only seem to do this in the library, not AFTER I've created in the project in green screen.

My advice,is if you have a smooth wall (plastered) use green paint, it works very well , I find cloth is a pain to keep pulling tight to get the creases out , i know not everyone has a spare wall they can paint, but you could always ask your wife if you could paint the bedroom in Green. i did and she said YES ...green is my wifes favourite colour , so im LUCKY

I am so glad that I went to youtube to look for this type of tutorials. We JUST started a production program where I work, and I was needing to learn how to do Green Screen work. This is a great tool and I am going into the studio tomorrow to try some of these techniques.

Hi Ken. I just ran into your green screen tutorial and I created a green screen video and try to add it to another video so that it can be the background. When I drag the green screen video unto the other video it did not give me the option to add it as a green screen. In stead, the video was inserted as its on without all th green and without a background

After effects is good for, like it says, effects. Imovie is fantastic just for general editing, but whatever you can't accomplish in Imovie can be done in After Effects. In my opinion I think you'll be alright, what type of videos will you be making?

Imovie would be your best bet. Those are both editing intensive subjects and they can take hours in AE where they can take minutes in Imovie.

I am getting a strange hue or ora around me when using imovie 11 with the green screen... I can tell in your video here that you have the same ora/hue issue. Do you know how to edit this or adjust the feathering to remove it?

It depends on your lighting circumstances. If you use a backlight it will make a subtle silhouette around the edge of your footage. This is good for defining yourself from the footage, but it can be distracting if not intended. Try eliminating some of the lights and see which one is causing the problem.
