@RainRavens Not everycatholic is "anti-gay". In fact there are a lot of catholics gay-olesbian friendly. Most of people, religious or not, are, simply, stright, or basically stright, so for most of catholics or not religious, that sexuallity desnt have sense or interest bt its not seen like something to be "anti"-anything.

Xena, in other hand, can be seen, even you guys, I supose lesbians, dont believe, as totally stright and Gab be someone special about a spiritual conexion.

@TereBelieve No. They're gay for each other. The stars of the show say it, the producers say it, and the not-so-subtle hints are there all the way through the series. Anyone needing more evidence than that is in blatant denial. Plus, Catholocism is an orthodox branch of Christianity that enforces the Bible to the letter. They do not pick and choose which bits to believe. And the Bible says very firmly (check out Leviticus) that gay is wrong. Proper Catholics (like the Pope) really are anti gay.

@RainRavens There is a pression over Xena characters from lesbian movement.  In the begining the stars, the producers etc said they NEVER wanted to do that. Bt there was a strong push, that movements dont let the characters be their self. Ad yes, there are some lesbians inside, not Lucy, Reneé or Robert. They dot want to disapoint their lesbo friends.

@RainRavens Rai.. anyway.. the thing is: when Xena goes to come back to life? Its too much time ago the last episodes!!! Xena have to come back soon, this is a wrong situation: the last episodes were so unfair. Xena is good, strictly good person and She deseres to come back.. How Xena goes to do that and come back to life? I dont know.. in fact I dont mind who She loves or what happen with Gab, I dont mind.. Xena is the important: She cant died as a suicide without redeption in life

I don't like the way it ended either, but unfortunately I don't think the show is going to come back. :( And as for your previous comment, Renee and Lucy enjoyed playing up the subtext. They let the characters evolve into a couple naturally, it wasn't just pressure from fans. Their bond is what makes the whole show, it has to be something more intimate than just friendship, whatever it is.

Well about subtext I dont know details but some fans do press, youtube vids and shows proves it, anyway I like the relationship between the actresses and between the characters, well Im a Lucy fan and admirer, She´s amazing and well Reneé is good also, they are very good friends and this is nice. I think we fans and people must to be together like praying together like orphans or the same one

@RainRavens Please, Christian scholars have for a long time now revealed the truth about Leviticus, Romans I, and all of the other quoted passages of the Bible that people have mistaken as being against being gay or lesbian. There is not ONE word in the Bible about being Gay as we know it - sexually and romantically attracted to a person of the same gender (simple definition). Leviticus is an instruction to Isrealite men not to be like Cananite men who sodomize and demoralize women and slaves.

What I have always found so awesome about this show was the subtext. And the subtext was there from Season 1, Episode 3... Dreamworker, but quickly became more obvious, tongue and cheek then finally out right maintext! I wish there was another show out there like Xena today. Action, melodrama, comedy, romantic and campy sometimes in one episode! What could beat that?? And wow lots of women in tiny outfits with swords! What was there not to love??

I don't know how many guys practice like that. Xenas and Gabrielles relationship has been widely discussed, but most people say that they were a couple, including Lucy. They hardly had a hard time getting guys, so why would they need to practice? I don't know if appease is the right word, aknowledge would be better. After all we do exist to, it should be reflected on the TV screen and visability is very important to help people struggeling with their sexuality.

When i saw the episode the first thirty seconds had come from, I was like... Dude, they are totally in love! And they even had a everlasting fire episode where only Gabby's soulmate could kiss her and free her. No guesses on who the soul mate was.Very cute!
