  • Check out Star Wars (A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) Their effects were built by real models. Not green screen. These are real effects in my opinion.

  • ITS ALL A LIE.

  • Green screen effects look good if it's done like this.Where you use real back rounds and put it in the green. But most other companies do not know and it's obvious. But anything thats totally CGI no matter how good the artists, all ways looks CGI and fake.nothing beats haaving 1000's of extra's or harsh sunlight.

  • It may be more cost effective to use a green screen and add in everything in post production, but what about the fun of witnessing a live explosion or being on location to film?

  • Shit, I saw this when it had 1000 views...

  • It's weird how obvious it seems when you know it's green-screened... I shall have to keep an eye out. Hopefully I'll be able to notice these things in the future :)

  • hello, I love all these things you are doing, by the way what is the program that you use?

  • wow! I just to know.it's many fake in the movies.

  • what is happening? O_O!

  • everything i thought I ever knew is a lie

  • This video ruined movies for me

  • alrite. i m callin my cousin right now n shooting my own movie. i'll put my green bed sheet in the background.

  • mind blown..

  • It's crazy exactly how much is fake. I knew there was a good amount of fake, but not this much.

  • Wow! That's crazy!

  • what is real?

  • CGI is more realistic than the old westerns where you could hear the echos of the studio, but it's not a different technique. It's the MOVIES people!

Some of these are easy to spot, f'rinstance in the snow storm there are sharp shadows for the actor, where the postman has none.

  • Quora brought me here - I wont believe what I see any more!

  • 76 dislikes because....?

  • @MaGnAFraG They felt like being cheated.

  • Truman show!

  • @TranslationsRussian haha! nice comparison

  • Very nice video thats shows how cool the technology is..

  • & it's still not included in DSLR's.

  • wow.......BUMMD

  • 請問3:14是哪部電影?

  • OMG nothing is real.. It's the Matrix all over again lolololololol..

  • This is amazing. OMG Facts brought me here too lol.

  • OMG Facts brought me here and I am not ashamed. As a matter of fact, I'm amazed!

  • That was surprising.

  • To be actors you must really have a good imagination cause all you see if a screen most of the time. :o

  • looooooooool holy crap

  • O.o

  • Saw this on OMGfacts, and with basic knowledge on this stuff I was prepared to not be all that surprised. I knew that they do this a lot, but not this much! I'm impressed.

  • how the fucking hell did they do that.

  • Jasus, how can one even tell truth from reality anymore!

  • Omg..... everything ive ever known was a fake

  • Cool music

  • EVERYTHING I KNOW IS A LIE....

  • @screeem THE CAKE IS A LIE.... I DONT EVEN CARE HOW OLD THAT JOKE IS

  • wow. I would have NEVER guessed. this is really cool.

  • THE FUCK. Everything seems so real when you're watching T.V. or a movie. LOL everything I know is a lie!

  • YATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • also on sucker punch

  • please tell me film at 3:12

  • THE MOON LANDING WAS A GREEN SCREEN!!

  • @chadolien Now you're catching on...

  • I feel betrayed

  • my whole life is a lie

  • Basically nobody can wear green clothes.

  • wow! i want this! can u buy this or something similiar like this that sells on stocks? i wud really want this for my birthday, and do u need a special camera or any camera??? really wanna try this,

  • @MrKingtyrant05 you can use any camera. all you need is a cover of a bright colour(preferably green) you can alter your video with a software called Adobe After Effects. you can look that up and there are some pretty cool youtube lessons for that too.

  • @CardSharp11 this is virtual, its so real, unlike some other progams that they sell on stock, they look like photos, ur in the scene the back ground looks all photograph and still, others u cud see the green light shaping ur whole bodying giving it out that its fake, but this, its soo real, i want exactly this kind, ha pretty they dont have sumthing like this or maybe its too expensive and lots of computers, lol is there any stargate studios that we can buy

  • @pawningcity no movie... its "Hereos" its a seriel ;)

  • anyone else feel like working out their butts and legs after watching this?

  • @gettavid hahahah! I was going to say the same thing! I think it would be breast..BEST if youboob, er.. TUBE, took that video down.

  • What movie is it at 3:46?

  • WOAH.

  • Awesome video! Now I don't know what to believe! /-(

  • This video is so interesting :D

  • never thought they used cgi in non-fiction movie, but as long as it looks real, i like it :))

  • Are they that lazy?! couldn't they have actually gone to these places and filmed there?

  • @Spurneyy Well it's not about laziness. It's about time constraints and costs. Shooting a show like Heroes season 1, for example, takes a massive amount of time. Flying the crew to New York to film one shot of Hiro in Times Square is much more timely and costly than doing it in a studio. It wouldn't make sense to go on location.

  • @Spurneyy Actully, doing these is more hard work than going to the place itself. But they are wise enough and patient enough for these because this will save them more time and money than going to all the places needed in a film. The one who commented to you before me was right :)

  • wow this is a letdown, you think in the movies its all awsome places where their at....but then this....i think i died a bit inside i dont approve of this technology use :/

  • ...well then.

  • Lies, Lies Everywhere

  • how do we know this video isnt just a cgi trick?? :)

  • @187onthecop

how do we know everything isn't a mind trick of some sort.

  • @187onthecop

How do we know that everything is a whole mind fuck trick

  • F YEAH! MONK!

  • sooooo the moon landing was fake?

  • A MEDAL. Someone give the SFX and Visual Departments like ALL of them.

  • Man this sucks!! It feels like believing in Santa. When you find out it's not real it sucks.. other than that YATA!!!

  • everything is a lie....

  • Wow...actors and actresses must be extremely talented to work with a greenscreen so much.

  • I came here because of OMG FACTS, should I be ashamed?

  • @soulnomod Only if your asking for thumbs up!

  • @soulnomod yes and what the fuck is OMG facts?

  • 0:50~1:14 From Please tell me the name of the movie

  • @PSPXX3 Those werent movies, they were tv shows, including ugly betty and greys anatomy

  • @City0FDreams

I can't thank you too much.

  • how can i get a job in la if i have no talent but am willing to work very hard to never complain .the dream wood bee working on the set of some big movie getting everybody cups of tea in my old mothers butlers outfit and making them all fall in love with me wanting to all take me home with them but not at the same time ofcoarse because theres snot that much of me 2 go around as it is.below the waist

  • This video has completely change the way i see movies now...

  • @FromAGeek for films, this is pretty damn common, and should come as no surprise(star wars prequels, lord of the rings, and avatar are among the most extreme examples). the extent to which it's used on television is what excites and fascinates me, though I can only recognize a handful of these.

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • no,You must put those boys in the shit!!

  • awesome, really ^^

  • THIS IS F'in AWESOME!

  • عمل عظيم ...

  • HAPPY SEPTEMBER FOOLS DAY EVERYONE...

as you can now clearly see

    TV IS A WEAPON...

    we are ALL the victims...

    HAPPY HOAX DAY!!!

  • @2Xyousee You're an idiot

  • Scaring...

  • @crazyindian8 True, but I'm just saying, there are ppl who want to make good movies who can't afford to build sets, or go shoot in the physical location (especially if that location doesn't exist anymore, or never existed), and this tech hasn't been unaffordable until recently. Soon independents can really compete with Hollywood cuz their stuff will look just as good.

  • I know because the camera image is too clear (and the coloring is too fine)

    (sorry for my wírting)

  • I really thought they had landed on another planet. Freaking green screens..... @ 3:02

  • jon, r u alive?

  • damn... still miss Heroes...

  • aww, i thought the shots on the moon was real:(

  • Okay, this changes everything!

  • and I thought Monk and Eli Stone were shot in reality!

  • most of these still look really fake

  • @PlumpTiger Yeah, because you Know theyre fake. Its easy to pretend like you know everything on the internet.

  • @Thimmet Why umad? It's just easy to tell when something is greenscreened,

  • Where are the wormholes and an00bus

  • nothing is real anymore... :(

  • awesome work!

  • what the fake is this?

  • Awesome! :)

  • if you want to see real cutting edge CGI work just flip on national/world News media stations. it has become common practice. what you're seeing in this video is at least decade old tech. you all witnessed some quality video manipulation during a little incident in 2001.

  • @LifePsyop did you see the handler on RT while waiting for the great daffy to clear the electronic gypsum dust?....

  • It can't save that much money, the special effects guys must be paid a lot, as well as paying for the hardware that does this. Plus someone actually needs to go out and film these locations anyway. And then the headache of stitching it all together, getting perspectives right, making sure reaction times are tied up with the imagery. Hence lots of shoots. I reckon Hollywood is far too incestuous with the CGI/effects industry. They got to them first without thinking. It's small-minded.

  • Sometimes I wonder why they even bother to shoot on location .

  • i will NEVER look at T.V the same way again! I almost regret watching this, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. But hey its always a great thing to be enlightened so Thank You.

  • Ohhhhhhh!!! Of Course! THAT's most likely how they did it...that day in September, 2001.. .

  • Excellent! Amazing, what beautiful stories you can compose with green screens today.

  • GADAYUMMMMMMMM!!!!

  • I don't know why so many ppl are claiming to be saddened by this. One of the jobs of the film industry since it's inception was trying to perfect the illusion of reality. As an independent, amatuer filmmaker I think this is great! With this technology in the hands of ppl with stories to tell and little cash think what good movies we might see instead of the generic Hollywood crap.

  • @2Xyousee Heck, and that's news to anyone? Television has been making people stupid for nigh on 50+ years. Although I believe it's starting to pay dividends in this generation.

  • Comment removed

  • @NelsonStJames still i think it's great if you think about it from your point of view. from mine - i would miss the traveling to all that locations, meeting people and working with real stuff. it's something what was called atmosphere what was great about the filmmaking. now its fading away... (speaking from the behind-the-camera point of view.)

  • @NelsonStJames On the other hand it might be like this:

"They" produce new movies, telling us that "it was the most expensive production ever". Maybe they tell us it was shot ontop of the snowy moutains anywhere in the Himalayas as a reason why this was that expensive.

Just to gain bigger publicity by telling us lies. And the average stupid cinema consumer runs into those multiplex mega cinemas to watch "this amazing production".

But it was based on lies. All shot in studios in front of a green

  • @humanalive sounds like NASA'S business model!

  • @2Xyousee propably true!

  • @NelsonStJames you know what? stargate studio is part of MGM and that is VERY high quality green screen works. just let you know ;)

  • @michpascha Figures, but just like evolution, "those with the will always find a way".

  • @NelsonStJames I'm not saddened by this. I'm mainly just in awe that the effects, for the most part, look really incredible. Also considering that they have to produce these effects in under a week, I have a lot more respect for the industry.

  • now in the making of of the making of you will see there's only green

  • what do you expect?? most tv shows like ugly betty, NCIS, Bones, csi are set in new york and D.C. but the shooting is in LA...how much would you think it costs shooting in NY?!

  • .. sad...

  • 71 viewers really thought she went out to space.

  • Can you say 9/11

    Sure you can!

  • @DABIGRAGU1

    can you say idiot?

  • this really makes me sad

  • Wow, that's amazing. To think, in that opening scene in Mission Impossible Tom Cruise actually climed that mountain suspended by a wire so thin the camera couldn't see it. Nowadays he could have done that in a fucking warehouse with a big green sheet of cardboard behind him.

  • welcome to the six oclock news... fake is the new real. don't even think for a second that the wool is being pulled over your eyes everywhere. phil

  • Anyone know what show/movie the Russia scenes were from?

  • 2:00 - 24, Jack Bauer.

  • Nice, thumbs up just for emancipator

  • Fucking tards at Grey's Anatomy didn't really blow a ship up... Sad.

  • wow

  • that was epic

  • สุดดดดส์ยอดดดด...

  • wtf? that1s awesome

  • @xvidzzz Sometimes they do. Costs for Sin City and 300 were kept down nicely that way, and sci-fi TV series use this extensively. It's the question of cost and quality. Full HD needs much more precise work than SDTV or 720p, and costs a lot more. Theatric, with 4 times the resolution of Full HD, ends up costing another order of magnitude more, and there are still giveaways when something isn't real.

  • WOW

  • Just amazing to see how it is done ...

  • Hey guys !

Check out my green screen movie, it's on my channel !

    Hope you'll appreciate it :D

  • the best thing music !!!!!!!!!!!

  • And now you know whatever you see in TV is just a lie

  • So,, being a viewer is better than be an actor ^^

  • czuję się kurwa oszukany :(

  • "It's all bullshit - and it's bad for you" ~ George Carlin

  • can't be unseen):

  • Soon, acting is gonna be the most boring job ever!!!

  • This is just an example of how we get mindfucked everyday

  • this is actually a bit blood chilling...

  • does anyone know what software they are using ?

  • @panduski 3ds max

  • @panduski probs nuke

  • เทพ มากๆ

  • The question I want to know is if anyone out there is achieving similar quality effects without the benefit of a Hollywood studio budget at their disposal? Then I want to know what "they" are using, and how they are using it.

  • was this done in cinema 4d or after effects someone ?

  • @panduski It's possible, but I kinda' doubt it.

  • มันเป็นเยี่ยงนี้เอง
