Looks like a blast, dude! I'm jealous! I'm tempted to buy a M3, just to be a part of the club! But somehow, this thing called "practical" always bugs me, grrrr. Anyway, awesome vid! Don't get more orginal, raw and real than that! For your drifting...I'd say to visualize ur tire angles, even as you drive. Become the car...KNOW where ur car is, its angle, tire angle, etc. Once you "master" that particular car, you got it made! Cheers!
"Get the weight transfered to the front"... I doubt that's the right phrase to use... Unless he really transfers the weight somehow... like all passengers leaning forward? Or the car has moving components that allow him to actually transfer the weight to the front...
He's right the car becomes heavier towards the rear as gas is applied. The car will actually lower on the rear. As you let off the gas or brake the front becomes heavier and pushes the nose down because the car wants to keep going forward...
Glad you had fun in the south Gustav... we had a hurricane with your name last year in Louisiana that really messed us up though lol. I'd love to check out the BMW driving school one day, looks like SO much fun!
it is very difficult belive me! the balans beetween grip and spin is very thin. Summer highspeed tyres and very wet asphalt. Its more difficult than snow!
I went to this BMW performance school, in America, in SC. This place it pretty awesome! If you do the one day course you drive the wet skid pad, and race around 3 different tracks. They provide you with M3s, M5s, and M6s. The only time an instructor is with you is when drifting. You race alone so it cool! " Drive it like you stole it..." -BMW Instructor.
Nice drifting Gustav. "I guess I hit a slick spot . Donney: ehh, not really" lol. I'm looking to go to the M driving school. I went to the AMG driving academy last month and had the time of my life.
yeah it's a wonderful region, i sincerely hope you had some fried chicken!
The spartanburg plant has been great for the area, i loved taking school trips there as a kid to tour the factory. They have started to build the M versions of the Suv's there also.
I live close to Charlotte, NC I'm thinking about doing a supercar experience with a company close to there.
the school's there are pretty expensive, the M school is around 1200 bucks for a day. If it's an entire day that's pretty competitive with anything out there.
I'm doing this supercar experience when I get home that's cheaper and has a better variety of supercars. It's not on a track with an experienced driver but that fits me better anyway. I want to enjoy the car like i would everyday, blasting through country roads instead of weaving through cones.
Theres a lot of companies that do stuff like that. The one I'm going to is called supercar sensations. You can't turn traction control off and they "advise" you to stick to the speed limits and drive civilzed. But really all i would want to do is give it some pedal everynow and then, I don't have the desire to do anything strenuous on public roads, it's just not safe.
Most of those companies offer events at a track and on public roads so you should have your pick.
when down there for a class trip earlier this year and got taken around the test track for a hot lap in an M3. damn that was the best trip ever

wonderful! Chic-fli-A is probably the cleanest and best serviced fast food franchise in the country so you got a treat there.
