I think that in most Westernized countries, young people are putting off dating/marriage, having kids, etc. It's a choice men and women make. They don't want the stress and responsibility or they just want to live their own lives freely. Plus women are getting higher education and aren't interested in being wives/mothers. @eurasianchica Some people lose faith or trust in others because of their past experiences. I'd be pretty misanthropic myself if that was my experience with guys. Luckily, most guys I've meet are very nice to girls. Why can't the world have more guys like that?

@eurasianchica I'll be honest I don't see myself getting married or having kids, (the having kids is a definate nono for me) I can see where she's coming from, with the amount of bad experiances she had, I don't want to go through that, and I'm happy being on my own, I have my friends and family, I've never needed more then that.
But I agree with you the the little dog, being caged alot of the day is not a good thing, its really cute tho, too bad I'm allergic to fur T^T

Rather, I'm just commenting on the state of the society she lives in, where human interaction seems to all be temporary and commercial. She pays a man to pretend to be her "boyfriend" for a short, fixed period of time. Biologically, emotionally, we all need close emotional human contact to be happy, and for all of human history, marriage/kids has been the solution for that.
