I really need to work. To earn cash. I should be doing that, but instead I just keep watching your videos. Great stuff. Love the light hack and screen thing. Now I must go work, but I'll be back. Keep up the great ideas! Thanks!
@pilanceboil Your comments over several videos of "I should really be working, but I can't stop watching your videos" have brought a silly grin to my face. Thanks.
Not only did I not work. I made my wife stay up and listen as I explained to her many of your clever projects. She wasn't as enthusiastic as I was, but she was nice enough to listen and to say, "well, good. I'm glad you discovered that guy..." or something like that through sleep-shrouded eyes. I stayed awake in bed dreaming of cheap light stands, inexpensive stabilizers, and that Jib. That really fantastically cool Jib. That awesome Jib! Glad I made you grin!! ;)
I think you should do an episode just showing giving some good safety advice. In all honesty I'm very afraid of doing something small that could be incredibly dangerous on set with my lights and it would be awesome if you wanted to do basic safety for lights. Even though that's not exactly what your show is about there probably are alot of people who are trying lighting out for the first time without safety knowledge (like me lol).
That's why you are the best around - you don't get stroppy (UK slang for "annoyed") when someone questions or criticises (UK spelling) you or your tips. Respect!

This was pretty cool! I too was a little weary of having the bulb completely exposed, but this is the perfect solution. Not only does it protect you from an exploding bulb, but it also protects the bulb without having that sheet of (breakable) glass in there. And running a bit cooler is a plus!

Awesome idea. Good example of constructive criticism. I'm doing it as I have the same exact set of lights. Thank you, again.

@TheTiedyeproductions I thought about barn doors, but found that since I'm always bouncing this light, I didn't need them.

You forgot to mention that some screening material is plastic (usually black or brown in color) so check the label.
