Tips:

Only use Double Hidden Blade Toby. You can counterkill guards w/ spears and heavy swords

Use your assassins. Just use them. Seriously they help

@ILikeToEatCookies121 Dude, I lost 4 assassins. It's a bitch isn't it. After that I recruited as many as possible and trained them all to Assassin Level (yes I know). They kick ass now. Best thing to do is to hire mercenaries, find a huge number of guards, send in the mercenaries and (then)your assassins (they'd killthe guards too quickly) and watch the havoc unfold.
