Ok, I think I see what is happening. I've just read through RP's website and am afraid to admit I agree with many of his viewpoints. On paper and in writing, RP seems great! On video however he is a complete disaster. He lacks presidential demeanor and can not hold his own in the debates or ambush questions (see his Tim Russert interview). If you take RP's ideas but package them in a "Mitt Romney" caliber speaker, the primaries would be far more interesting than the current snooze fest.
you haven't seen enough if you're still not convinced about his demeanor. he is a powerful speaker when appropriate, but he's also very likable and has a lot of personality in informal discussions. keep digging. you'll see.

I would like to quickly explain why Ron Paul polls constantly lower than what his fundraising results and grass roots support would expect.
Most of the media and polling companies get their list of people they call for polls from previous voting years' voter registrations. And if youve been to any of these RP meetups and rallies, youll notice almost none of Ron Pauls supporters were registered voting republicans last voting cycle. We are in for a big suprise in early states.

He is a doctor, He wants to get the government control away from health care so that insurance, medicine and medical companies will, once again, become competitive against each other. Once competition is back in place, prices will lower big time! Then, once again, small businesses and corporations will gladly supply health care to their employees!

I think if Ron Paul were running for "President of YouTube" there might be something to your premise. The assumption that subscribers=supporters is flawed given that many subscribe only for the entertainment value of his insane comments. Ron Paul's positions are dangerous and half-baked at best. I am still undecided, but do not see Ron Paul as a credible alternantive. His policies are revolutionary, but in a direction that would be dangerously harmful to the nation. I recognize though I must be missing something about his message because there are many intelligent people who support him. So far...I just don't see it. That's why I'm on the Net and Youtube doing my homework since we definitely have to get it right for the next election.

Riderguru, Ron Pauls issues are mine too. He states a few that the other candidates refuse to address. I want American as defined by our founding fathers too. Problem is that Ron Pauls solutions will only get us into more trouble because of his proposed way of resolving these issues. That is all I am saying. Say YES to his issues, but say NO to him being president.

Ok, I think I see what is happening. I've just read through RP's website and am afraid to admit I agree with many of his viewpoints. On paper and in writing, RP seems great! On video however he is a complete disaster. He lacks presidential demeanor and can not hold his own in the debates or ambush questions (see his Tim Russert interview). If you take RP's ideas but package them in a "Mitt Romney" caliber speaker, the primaries would be far more interesting than the current snooze fest.

If any of it is actually substantiated then it's GAME OVER for Ron. Hope it's not true though, would certainly like to see him interact a bit more with the front runnrers before he bows out.

I like Ron Paul. The main reason I support him is because he's real when it comes to the Fed. The government has the authority to print and regulate it's currency. Instead, they let the Fed. do it, which causes nothing but debt and destroys the dollar. There still is no law to date that makes it mandatory to pay federal income tax. The Ron Paul Blimp project has raised $200,000 which is enough to launch it and be in Boston on December 16th.
However, they need to raise $400,000 by December 21 for it to be in the New Hampshire during the primary.
Besides the millions who will see the blimp and it's messsage, just the fact that we have a blimp is publicity in itself and a statement of power.

I would like to quickly explain why Ron Paul polls constantly lower than what his fundraising results and grass roots support would expect.
Most of the media and polling companies get their list of people they call for polls from previous voting years' voter registrations. And if youve been to any of these RP meetups and rallies, youll notice almost none of Ron Pauls supporters were registered voting republicans last voting cycle. We are in for a big suprise in early states.
