From what I have read the revised editions of IAEA policy were violated. The initial construction of said facility was supposed to be reported. It apparently was not.

Yesterday the IAEA said the iran broke international law by not disclosing the contstruction of the physical plant el bardei, head of the IAEA said that iran was on the "wrong side of the law by not disclosing the initial construction of the new nuclear facility". I did google it and I have to say that I am shocked after seeing what he wrote. I wished he would have gone abit further to state exactly the rules they broke cos if you read the NPT agreement they signed, theres nothing there suggesting any country under the agreement should inform the IAEA about the construction of a nuclear facility.

By signing the agrrement you also agree to be held accountable by all amendments and revision bound by the charter of the un. Un treaties all work like this. Iran is bound by un charter and the iaea because they signed on. Israel did not sign on. There is a difference legally, but not morally

Are you sure that Iran was breaking the law on the nuclear plant issue, some of whom I've spoken have said that when it comes to nuclear plants you have to report that you have a plant a year or so before it is completed not before you start building it. And we should remember that it was IRAN that reported this, it wasn't some secret undercover agency who found a paper trail or something like that before and then found it to their horror.
