It was -30 with sleet and snow at 7am in the morning. Who would steal a bike at that hour. Plus, as you might have noticed his bike is especially made for bike messengers, no one is going to buy that type of bike stolen from a homeless dude.
If I didn't hate living in cities, I might be doing this. I get around on my 2 mountain bikes for like 7 months a year, and some in the winter too--no car. Did 27 mile commute today--go trail riding tomorrow. Great vid--forget climbing the ladder. Ur on the right track.
Bike messengers are the best..my hats off to you guys in all weather and freedom to roam..nothing beats the liberty of a messenger on fixies........one car les as one bike rule !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
melroach, I'm assuming that's you talking as well as you on the bike? Ya I'm very glad Ottawa was able to maintain a certain feel and atmosphere that can indeed sometimes feel gothic. The layout of the hills, the old buildings, the people, the pubs all give off a sense of tradition. Not everyone is good, but for the most part, there seems to be a lot of depth in most people I meet and integrity is important. Ottawa has it. Cheers.
