  • we wanna here the car not the music bro hot car

  • those side pipes custom or did you find them somewhere I have a 84 trans 383 stroker and im looking for side pipes like yours thanx man.

  • what size is the rear meats?

  • how did you do the t-tops conversion?

  • thats a nice whip man real nice

  • hey im looking to restore my 79... know any good places to buy parts online for cheap? specifically window seals and trims?

  • and is classic industries a way to go if you want good parts to restore?

  • so where did you get all of your parts? dash components, tail lights, interior ect.

  • how did u find a 79 without the paneling it usually has behind and infront of the wheels?

  • What song?

  • now thats COOL. I love the fade transition

  • GREAT CAR MEN

  • FIN..just like mine ...no pipes..great ride!!

  • what color is it ?

  • It supposed to be a Ford Color, from the Ford SportKa. I thought it was named Ford Racing Blue, Don't know the exactly name of it at the moment.

  • how much did it cost to repair it.. cause im trying to restore my 79 RS

  • 79 rallysports and Berlinetta have alot in common

nice job with the restoration.. love the pain color

  • This looks just like my first car I got for my 16th birthday same blue and t-tops too, I loved that car , got many many compliments on it.Beautiful job!

  • brought it back to life nice job on it.

  • and dont even try to find tail lights for the car $200+ for spider web cracked ones on ebay..... NO ONE makes them its kinda sad they dont wanna make alot of money making tail lights for this car :\

  • you can find the tail lights in classic industries. I have been waiting for a pair of tail lights for a 79.

  • Yeah, but a while a go they didn't had the RH side and it's all reproduction.

  • maybe you are thinking in national parts depot, they only have one side, but in classic industries they have both, i am waithing for a pair since 2 months ago, in CI.

  • interior is almost IMMPOSIBLE to find i had to get mine redone and plled it outta a 78 camaro parts car we had..... im 15 and have one of these its a 1978 Z28 that i have worked on for three years and im finaly gonna finish it soon... hopefuly!!!

  • take away the side pipes they dont belongon that car put them on a late 60 vett

  • i had a 79 berlinneta along time ago i wish i still had it...

  • Hey im getting this exact car. it has no interior or carb but other than that its solid im 17 its a project of mine im painting it myself. but do you know where i could get that interior? i really like it and do you know like a base price range for that and what your cfm is on your carb.

  • That is pretty bad ass. How much total do you think you had spent on that to get it to where it is now? I have a 1979 small black 5.7 liter Rally Sport Camaro but it doesn't really run. Two of the pistons are pretty much dead and it has a blown head gasket so it pretty much runs on only 6 cylinders. I am only 15 right now but I have some Ideas about what mine will look like. Also the car has about 380,000 miles on it.

  • I think I (only) spent around 22k on it. When I spent a lot of money on a car again, it will be a car which will be worth more from itself ('67 Camaro for example).

So I would suggest to fix the engine of your Camaro and don't spend too much money on it.

  • oh so the rear spoiler on the trunk came with the car or did you buy it?

what type of rims are those??

  • I don;t think it came original with this rear spoiler, probably the Z28 was standard equipped with this type of spoiler. It definitely makes the car looks way better.

Rims are Eagle Alloys, don't know the exact model at the moment.

  • It is a factory install on RS and Z28's in U.S but not Berlinetta models. My RS is pretty much the same color as yours but with a big differance, mine is Macho Shark Blue from off the Macho Shark Corvette and it has a pearlecent purple/blue metallic in the clear coat which makes it change color at night to almost a puprle hew under most lights unless you have a flashlight directly on the paint. I invested about $15,000 in mine but did all the work myself otherwise it would have cost like 35,000+

  • thats a bad asss car i have a 78 camaro,

what size engine do you have?? where did you get that spoiler set i noticed it wasnt original;ly on and i am looking for that same spoiler!

i just had an engine made : a 4 bolt main 350 power forged flat top pistons 882 heads, 442 crank , performance cam, and double slotted timing chain!

but your car sounds amzing but yea if you could point me in the direction of that spoiler kit & cost, i would really appreciate it!!

oh what rims are those? NICE !!

  • This is a 2-bolt main 350 engine, build up with some Edelbrock parts (intake/cam/carb.). I don't know which spoiler you exactly mean, but the one on the trunk is original. The cowl hood came from Classic Industries. I think this one won't cost you that much, only thing is that you buy a complete hoof, and not the one which needs to be assembled on your current hood; it will crack the paint then.

  • i want ur camaro so bad dude too bad im only frekin 14!!

  • Beautiful Car man. I'm currently looking at some different camaros. I realy like the 78 and 79 models. But dude you car is kick ass!

  • Thanks! The 79 thru 81 look very nice indeed, but if money is not an issue, I would go with the '67 Camaro =)

  • Beautiful Camaro, but I don't like the side pipes, it looks better with stock pipes.

  • I apreciate your opinion, it's easy to get rid of them if I want.

I think it makes the car a bit more unique this way, that's why I keep them on the car.

  • How much did the sidepipes cost?

  • About 250 USD at Summit.

  • hey mople, how much was it to get that interior done, if you dont mind me asking.

  • If you can do some things yourself, you only need an upholstery kit for the seats (from Classic Industries) and some spraypaint to dye vinyl.

The door panels are custom made by myself, the dash and console are resprayed, and the seats are redone with the upholstery kit. I think it costed me around 500 USD.

  • how did you do the front metal dash peice with spray paint? did u take the window out? im thinking of maybe turning mine white, but i might just leave it baby blue. i hate doing interior work though. Im just curious of what color of blue that is, cause i would really love to paint mine the same color, looks so sharp, and im repainting the underneath of the car too.

  • You have to take your window out. There are special cutters for that, sort of sharp wire. If it's the original sealing, it's not so hard to take the window out.

I have to look the colorcode up, don't know it exactly anymore.

You should paint the underneath with black anti-rust coating; that's how I did it at least.

  • did you break the window at all when you were taking it out?I think mine isnt the orignal sealing.

I don't think i'll be driving my car to terribly much, and it will be stored inside once im done, so im just gonna paint it the same all around, i've almost got the bottom of the car sand blasted, so next week i should be priming it, but i wont having any time after that for about 2-3 months to do anything.

  • I already bought a new windshield, but the chance it will brake is 50/50. A new windshield is not so expensive, so I didn't care if it did brake.

  • say im also curious about the colour, nice job on the whole car man! definitely one of the best i've seen around! how much are you thinking of selling it for? or are you waiting to find a good 69 in decent shape? Thanks

  • What I can remember that it originally is a Ford color. Try Google the words "Ford Sportka" in the Images, and you get the color. Some people call it Ford Racing Blue, but I don't think that's the right name for this color.

O, what the heck; just searched for the bucket of paint in my storage to check out the right name of the paint for you guys. It's "Ford Europe; Imperial Blue Pearl".

By the way; is it true that most of the paintjobs in the US are done poor?

  • I will wait for an '67 Camaro to restore; probably sell this one for around 15k.

  • Thank you very much, and i have seen some pretty bad paint jobs, i onno alot dont seem to last if you ask me, could just be my area but thats what i would say, 15k thats like about 29 k in the states? not to bad i would say, i hope to find either a early nova, camaro, or a charger to restore after my truck.

  • KICK ASS! Nice car.

  • where did you get the pipes from? Awsome!

  • Those are Patriot sidepipes, I thought from Summit or Jegs.

    Thanks!

  • zomg haha i mean the tail lights... haha

    where did you get it?

  • They are getting hard to find, especially RH side.

I have a pair on stock which are almost brand new, but won't sell them for less than 350 USD.

Won't find them on eBay in this condition so fast.

  • zomg excelent resto.

    hey dude... i have a 1980 Z-28

and im fixing it... i need to know where i can get the back skull lights the one i have are cracked...

c ya.. and soon ill put a vid of my camaro

  • Thanks, man! Can you tell me what you mean with 'back skull lights'? Let me know by a PM, and I will see if I can help you out!

  • respect from my side dude. Car looks excellent. i did the same restoration with mine 3rd gen. When i bought my camaro it looked like piece of shit. i know how much time and sweat it needs to achieve this effect. Waiting for more videos

  • Thanks, is the '91 Camaro on your channel yours? That looks great too, nice sidepipes! Patriot, right?

I will post some more vids of my Camaro when weather is getting better here, within 4 months or so...

  • wow..you turned a heap of crap metal into a beauty. wooo...good job....respect

  • hey mople100, i got a Z28 camaro too, 1978, 350 small block, everytthings still stock on it, i just need to repaint it, 30 k on it actually, but i was wondering the paint u used, cuase it looks really nice and the side pipes too...

  • 1:15, just about the best view..

  • True, too bad there's that hose next to the wheels...

  • I need some help. I found a 79 Z28 for $1200 but with an extra $150 I could have a built 355 go with it. I have a 92 Camaro already. Should I sell the 92 to get the 79 or find a way to get money and have 2 Camaro's? The 79 has a 350 and it runs. It just needs the carb and distributer put on. Body is in decent shape. Any help on my decision will be appreciated.

  • Fixing the 79 Camaro will cost more money than the most people think; I would go for selling the 92 Camaro, to get money for fixing the 79. If you got troubles with money now, you will get it again once you will start doing stuff on the 79 Camaro; at least, that's my opinion.

  • Dude, my dad gave me a camaro for my birthday it's either a '76 or'79. But it looks exactly like what yours use to look like, only blue. But congratz on fixing it up, it looks awesome!

  • Thanks! This model (with the fiberglass nose/tail) is officially from 78-81, so you probably have a 79. You can also determ that with the kind of instrumentpanel you have.

Good luck fixing yours up then!

  • Man your so lucky you got yours running when i got mine the guy i bought it from he scewd it up so now i got to rebuild the whole thing lol.

  • Well, if you like to do things well, you have to rebuild the thing anyway, no matter in what shape you bought it, right? =)

  • Ya cuz mines not in the greatest shape lol how long did it take u to finish restoring yours?

  • It took me about 1 1/2 year to get it in this condition, the guy who did the paintjob took a lot of time; otherwise I was done within a year. Good luck with yours!

  • Favorit-ed!!

    Nice colour.

  • That's what I thought!

  • Hey you got the aftermarket C+C T-tops. I've got those on my '77. They didn't offer Hurst or Fisher till 1978. How come you got C+C on a '79?? Are the C+C rare in the U.S?

  • Thats very sharp that you noticed the Cars & Concepts. Some of the Camaro's came out of the factory without the original Fisher/Hurst t-tops, and went straight to C&C, where they put in their C&C t-tops. They say this was a part of a deal between GM and C&C, 'cause a decal between the roof said it was build in about a few days after my car came out of the factory.

I recommand you to Google the next words for more info: "Cars and Concepts - Totally Topless Trans Am"

    Good luck!

  • hey... sweet ride!! ive got a 75 and i was wondering what kinda side pipes are those. Are they universal? the only ones i could find are hooker, and patriot lake pipes. please post up what kind they are it would help me a lot. thanks.

  • Hi there, thanks for the comliment! These sidepipes are the Patriot ones, which give you some problems putting them under the car; it needs some adjustments, but after all it fits pretty well.

  • i love your car!!!

  • Thank you!

  • What a sweet machine. The side-pipes are awesome.

    Stay safe man. :)

    Joel

  • dam dude i love that interior , i have a white z/28 79 camaro and it has its same interior from 79 i love it =D

  • nice car but u should go with old skool cragar s/s rims and t/a tires

  • how long was the rebuild

my neighbor has one that looked like urs before the restore

  • In gereral it took me almost 2 years to get it in this condition.

When is you neighbor starts restoring it's Camaro?

  • Nice job, that looked like a ton of work, but it turned out completely rad well done.

  • Thank you very much, I appreciate your compliment!

  • Not the wheels i would have pick but great car. and its not very often when you start a restoration and the car runs.

  • That Car deserved the cleaning

  • hey man, beutiful car. i just picked up an 80 Z/28 with a 350 V8 and a Holley intake manifold and Holley 4 barrel carb. the interior is brand new, but the body needs work, and i would like to do more to the motor, any suggestions?

  • Do some bodywork on it first and drive it while your building another performance engine for it. Don't forget the rest of your drivetrain (transmission, rear axle and brakes); I would seriously think about a drum to disc brake conversion kit if I were you.

Good luck, post some vids when you got time!

  • thanks, i def. will, what kind of brakes did you buy for it?

  • I never changed my rear axle and brakes, 'cause I would use the stock engine in first case; then I swapped it with a performance engine. But I don't abuse my car so much that I am forced to make further changes.

  • i have an 81 berlinetta, im building up a 350 wicked sick for it. where did you get the pipes, and headers to go to them? i have never seen a side pipe setup for a camaro.

  • I thought I bought the pipes for this Camaro at Summit. Pipes are universal, you are forced to use shorty-style headers if you want the sidepipes on the full length of your sills.

  • so you just fabbed the rest?

  • Dude this restoration is a masterpiece!!I have an 85' Corvette,I like my Vette but yours Camaro is wonderfull,I prefer the 78',79' year without steel bumpers in front,a real muscle car, fantastic, great work!!

  • Thank you very much. I know, the '78-'81 Camaro is (beside the '70-'73 Camaro) the most beautiful 2nd generation model. The '73-'77 Camaros are my thing neither, but I think the movie 'Transformers' changed that opinion for a lot of people.

Post some videos of your '85 Corvette here!

  • i have a 91 and a 79 both of them camaros. the 79 looks much much cooler than the 91. on the 91 its not intended to race car instead its more for hugging the road whereas the 79 you could make it all loud and way nicer than the 91 i like both models but i rather go for the 79

  • Yeah, where is the time that they made those nice shaped cars, right?

In the Netherlands is owning a car younger than 25 years not affordable, due the fact that we then supposed to pay a certain amount of tax for the road on top of the high fuel prices.

  • nice car! she looks amazing. after im sure the weather clears up here in ohio, im going to be buying a 91 rs 305 v8. i know its not nearly as great as yours, but its a start fro all i can afford now. this vids an inspiration, since ive wanted a camaro since i was 12, and to show that any car can go from nothing to everything. be careful :)

  • Thanks, great you are going to buy a '91 Camaro! A Camaro and a Camaro is a big difference; if you want to spend money in a car, I would recommend to do that in a classic instead of a newer model. That's my opinion at least; if I am going to restore something again, it will defenitely be a 67/68 Camaro.

All the luck with your Camaro, post something once you own it!

  • Very nice work. You and i have done the same thing. Although my Camaro is an 81 Z28 i still saved it from the crusher and built the shit out of it, and your camaro was in better shape then the camaro i got. atlest yours ran when you got it. Also your interior is ten million times better than mine, and yours is most likely faster. I only have a 350hp 350ci motor, but i still have fun hitting 140mph on my local windy roads.

  • best part of this vid is that you saved a classic from the crusher and made it a show car. I've pulled the engine and tranny outta my 78 what trans do you have? mine is a TH350 will post vids upon completion thanks for posting

  • This Camaro is equipped with a 350 engine and the TH350 trannie too, like the most of them.

I would like to have a manual transmission in it, but thinking about selling this car first and buy a 67 Camaro, restore it like this one and put a manual transmission in it.

Just let me know when you got a vid of yours, I'm curious.

  • that thing must haul ass eh

  • really nce car man, musta took a lot of money and possibly some hard work unles ur one of them money buys it all kidna guys, good thing u go that spoiler tho, they look fucked without it

  • Yeah, you want it done right, you got to do it yourself.

I dislike those people too, who let everything done by other people and show off like they did it their self.

The spoiler finishes the car, looks lame without it.

  • yeah man no doubt, my brother has a 1982 z28 we did al the work, me him my dad and step dad, my step dad rusn a bodyshop and shit, and hes a perfectionist, the things fuckin beutifull, just needs the engine cleaned up a bit, hes throwin in his 350 i think wit ha new tranny, and yeah i hate peopel who take credit for other peopels work, like my dad he aircrushed stuf o ncars cause hes good at it, and people used ot get it doe nand sy they did it themself, like im pretty sure people would know:P

  • i got a 78 z28 im getting started on right now this vid help me get started thanx...... lol

  • I am curious at the results of your Camaro; post a vid once it``s finished!

  • nice job i like the music too

we are starting too ours a 1979 z28

  • I imagine the side pipes where a pain in the ass huh? looks very nice though it was worth it.

  • Yes it was indeed, thanks!

  • hey do you have any trouble going over bumps with those side pipes, the reason i ask is because i have a 73 and im thinking about puting side pipes on but i dont want to rip them off the first time i go over a bump, thanks

  • Yeah, you can`t raise them enough with standard height of the rear end, so you have to raise your full car. That`s the worst thing of having these sidepipes.

  • ok thanks for replying

  • I love the exhaust, where did you get it and how much did it cost. Check out my Camaro vid

  • Have seen your vid a several times before; nice ride, when do you post a video from the Camaro in action?

Sidepipes come from Summit, was approx 200 dollar. You will need shorty style headers, if you want them on the full sill of the car. Although, it`s stays a tricky job to make it fit.

  • man, thats one hell of a restoration, looks beautifuly expensive

  • Thanks! It was, but it was worth it after all...

  • Yes. I drive this Camaro.

Sorry... My english language is bad.

I am from Czech Republic :-)

How long does it take you repair?

  • Nice!

The restoration took about 2 years, `cause of the paintjob took longer then expected.

  • Super!!!

    Very nice work!!!

    I have Camaro Type LT 1978 STROKER 383 400HP

  • You got a nice ride too, if it is the one on your vid (!).
