Indie rock trend? Indie rock has been around for decades, it's cyclical. The Strokes and Kings of Leon got big in the UK around 2002 and brought about the resurgence of guitar bands. This brought the likes of The Libertines, The Paddingtons and latterly The Arctic Monkeys et al to the fore. This is good, guitar pop, nothing more, nothing less. Thats all one can expect from any band though isn't it? The Who, The Beatles et al...they were all essentially making pop music...pop art...but pop music.
