Edit - Color Setting: Set it to monitor color. The problem is that many of you are attempting to work in CMYK gamut. If your printing, you need to calibrate a ton of stuff and you should know this anyways. If you are just doing stuff for on screen, then change this option and you will see that 0000ff is now blue.
Having the same issues - cant get an accurate calibration since snow leopard on my macbook pro 17" and my 23" cinema display. Very annoying. I think this is an issue with eyeone - they need a firmware upgrade for the devices....
10.6.5 still has this problem..

Same here. i1Display 2 + MacBook 13" + Snow Leopard. Blue turns purple after calibration. Never had that problem with Leopard.

I am having the same issues on a 2009 Unibody MBP. I have a support call into Xrite. Have you found a solution to this?
