Only diehard EQ players still play.This is a good thing.I'm still new with a 79Ranger.Last night I was hanging with the number 1 and 3 on the server.Well they were playing there alts.Some cool motherfuckers play EQ thats all I have to say.

I hadn't started playing too long after 99'. Played EQ for about 7 years off & on.. when I last went in, they had Mercs for hire -which was a smart idea, but I would have liked to see implemented earlier on. WoW is not a bad game, I played that for 1 year before going back to EQ..then returned back to WoW. There are problems that will be found with each, neither truly comes out on top anymore in my book. I loved the people in EQ, rarely found people I cared for in WoW. WoW grphx, nice story.

@ReFleXFnatic WoW is EQ on crack! it's like a action packed mmorpg, the only thing EQ has over WoW is community, which is big, but if that's your deciding factor than you should look at EQ2. EQ1 is about 11 or 12 years old, if your looking to move away from it, just about any MMO will be better. But if u love it i would go for EQ2, it has better graphics than WoW and has a mature community.

@Jayjon81 Screw graphics, if you want graphics stop playing MMOs.The game play in EQ is 100 times better then WOW. I have been playing WOW since day 1. I also started playing EQ at day 1, and I still enjoy EQ far more then WOW.

Don't go to EQ2 it sucks compared to EQ. Matter of fact WOW is better then EQ2.

Is this the real graphic or is just the "beta" not full graphic put into the game yet?

@Kusselaban This is what the game actually looks like. Everquest's last major graphics update came in December of 2001 one with the expansion "Shadows of Luclin." The game has not changed much since then, and the engine remains the same overall. People thinking about trying this game out fail to realize how brutally punishing it is compared to normal MMOs of today.

Just know that the original devs for WoW were prominent players of EQ, and they intended to make WoW like EQ, but better.

sadly when i posted I was on look for a new game to try out and i wanted to hear about the graphic first before trying games. ( Done that with most of the games I've tried) But i just recently went back to wow for a month to check out all new stuff.

But I'll try EQ out when my month is gone. Since i aint planning to pay for wow more then a month. New MMO's are always nice to try ;)
