  • I will post soon. I love his form. He was wearing pads and there as a bruise on his arms.... More Tao Yin practice as Fire and water are good elemental guides to training microcosmic circulation.... this is essential if one does not wish to damage organs... there are many important lung and pericardium accupoints in the lower arm... he needs more liniment and Jing Luo work and knowledge... Wooden dummy work would help too as Metal and Wood are good elemental guides to external training.

  • I want to see this applied in self defense.

  • @cha0tic All applications in Gung Fu forms are plausible for self defense. THAT'S the precise purpose of the form and the style of fighting. If you meant that you wanted to see the iron rings in self defense, I concur, that would be damn effective and gruesome.

  • very awesome .paitence and control . i am very impressed and encouraged .

  • 2:09 looks like he's flipping the bird to someone lol

  • This is Hung Gar Kuen . The Gung Ji Fook Fu Kuen (I character Taming the Tiger-form) There is a debate about this? If you don't know this you don't know anything about Hung Kuen. It even says so inthe begining of the video. Learn at least that much Chinese to know the names of the forms. This Sifu has a very nise traditional feel to his movements.

  • what are the rings for ? my guess is weight and technique , tell me if im wrong lol

  • @jesusasuke

Hi, you are right and also the rings make your forearms stronger ( like doing pushups on fists ;)

    Best rreagards

  • <3 Low Stances <3

  • I personally use dumbells.wish I could use the rings.

    but living in city apartments,

  • sweet!!!

  • this sifu seems so thin. o.O

I don't quite understand what this is..

  • @RainxSiN Exercising a lot with heavy weights then giving your muscles rest builds up the muscle tissue in a different way than what he probably does.

Exercise a lot 1 day, rest 1 day, exercise a lot 1 day, rest 1 day ect usually developers bulk and some brute strength.

If you exercise like Bruce Lee did, which was all the time, & not give your body rest you develop speed & strength by the use or more muscle fibers & using acceleration.

Maybe someone else can help & explain this better.

  • eXCELLENT!!!!!!!! aMAZING HORSE STANCE AND T-STANCE

  • ive been doing hung gar for 20 years now. And i have been doing iron thread for 20 years. I can say with certainty that this is not iron thread. This must be some stone warrior variation. The rings are the attribute of iron thread. But his wide range of distance and movment in not iron thread. Neither is any of his leg momvents where he lifts his legs up. Iron thread is a very isolated excercise, you are controlled in about a 3 foot diameter.

  • hi there, the video address, it's Gung gee not iron thread.

  • @mrroboto888 You dont recognize 工字伏虎拳 Tiger Taming form? It should be one of the first forms in Hung Gar system.

  • @WuDiTieJingGang as they say...without firm foundation...your only left with sand =)

  • @mrroboto888 iron thread you do not practice with iron rings, and if you have said u trained hung gar for 20 years and tit sin kuen for 10 then it would be maybe believable.. also 20 years of hung gar and not recognising one of its pillars ?

  • Listen to those sounds the rings are making, it sounds like just one ring is hitting another one, not numerous rings. That is CONTROL! His wrist are all beat up at the end. MY MASTER! Excellent form.

  • very interesting, i have been looking into the use of iron rings with martial arts. this form looks like it can generate plenty of force to the enemy. could u tell me which style this is exactly? Hung Gar? Iron Shirt?

  • Comment removed

  • Hung Gar

  • Amazing, honestly one of the best demos i have seen of it and trust me i've looked

  • tan tui was actually the origin of the mime...

  • this is a very interesting form, i do another type of southern traditional but i just love to watch this vid, he's very good and its and interesting form, even though im not too good at "unlocking" it... nice post!

  • This form is VERY difficult to perform (it's done with maximum muscle tension) without rings; but almost impossible to do while wearing several rings. Splendid!

  • Those things hurt like hell when you throw punches with them. Needless to say it takes some getting used to. Nice job man.

  • Damn that's cool. Love these martial arts vids. Can't STAND the @#$%'ing bickering...

  • Very impressive, much respect to your Sifu. It's a little different to how my teacher teaches it, but it looks very cool :)

  • NOTE:

don't underestimate skinny ppl even they can kick some ass.

  • I love the rings and used my teachers from time to time but the noise would drive me to drinking. But the training is top notch.

  • woah thats your sifu? his aight the form is called gung gee fu fok kuen

  • this is the kong ji fu fu

  • respect.

  • total disrespect shame on you,a true matial artist would never say anything like that.

  • elevate your thinking brother your better than that.

  • My God! I conclude from your remark that you know nothing about the Hunggar style. Probably you have learnt the so called modern-styled martial arts.

  • HAHahahaha.

  • PEOPLE this is to strengthen and condition his arm aswell to develop the heavy punchin which is needed for explosive power!

    BOOMTING!!!

  • Other than the added weight what is the purpose of the iron rings?

  • a form of weapon

  • the rings make the forearms bones stronger

  • oh my. where is this? I've learnt something similiar to this. what is the name of this

  • This is Hung Gar Kung Fu. He is showing the Gung Gee Fok Fu Kuen (Taming the Tiger-form)

  • I like how he takes his time in doing the form.

  • gung ji fuk fu

  • Excellent
