I had to buy a Dreamcast on ebay tonight just for this game. You don't know how much fun nostalgia this game brings back. I hardly use my ps2 or ps3 but this one is making me go back to my days of enjoying great arcade games on Dreamcast in a times of tiresome FPS this days. Can't beat that

you know what is amazing? this game was out.... more than a decade ago.. it was on an old ass console from SEGA.. Jee look at that. The graphics and movements in this game could actually challenge the best games that were made this year. The textures would need to be stepped up a notch but come on. Since SC1 they really haven't added much on the next SC. The movements for most characters remained EXACTLY the same. thats to say how ridiculously ahead of its time this game was.

@daradanianol the wii is a succesor to gamecube and has more quality graphics. But in comparison to the ps2 the wii completely dominates. If ure looking at early wii games then u have a point but looking at the newer games (within 2-3 years) u can see most non-third party games are great. Also u must consider that wii is not a next gen console,it was only a succesor to gamecube. Take a look at Metroid prime 3, Metroid other m, conduit 2, goldeneye, super mario galaxy 1-2, kirby, Zelda,re4 + more

i really dont know whether to get this game or dead or alive 2 cause this game gets perfect scores but it seams dead or alive offerers more like beter looking stages a stadium changes when u get knockout instead of a bland knockout its seems dead or alive is slightly funner idk what to pick

@thelapointe DOA2 is simpler, but has less content and depth, and has little going for it than teh boobiez. It does have more variety to its stages and better graphics, but less in pretty much everything else, including replay value. I say get Soulcalibur. Or Jet Set Radio. :p

@karadanianoI yeah, but the Wii is a gamecube and a Wii at the same time, plus it has some great games that you can download and play, especially some classics. SEGA probably won't make a new console, I liked their systems, but they just made way too many systems in a short amount of time and ended up destroying themselves... You sound like one of those Graphic loving people... Wii was made for gameplay, and its graphics are better than Gamecube... you just don't give enough insight...

@karadanianoI The reason many Wii games look bad is because it's a system asking for asshole third party developers to make shit for it. But take a great Wii game, like No More Heroes or Super Mario Galaxy, and you see that those graphics couldn't be handled on the Gamecube. (Well, not as well)

The very best in the series was the first one, before the first one - a game called Soul Edge, on the PSX. It is not nearly as good looking as this sequel (and, in addition, Soul Edge suffers from the Virtua Fighter / Tekken obligatory "extra jump and knock the body lying on the floor" syndrome, which spoils so much of the strategy)... But it has an amazing soundtrack (which blows this one away), a nice CG intro and intro song, and great overall feel and replay value. Definitely worth a look!
