If you look at the crowd and listen to them near the end of the match, you can see and hear them cheering. This guy was the innovator for heels. He made liking heels cool and this is only his second match in the WWF.
Powers was solid but they never bothered to change his wardrobe since1987. His old partner Roma got a better deal

Great post--this was Ramon's 2nd WWF match I think. Gotta love how McMahon's commentary puts over Jim Powers!
