When I was there last year, I heard a Rescue with a Q.

I thought it was an E-Q2B - I thought all FDNY units were fitted with them?

Maybe this was before they were authorized? Or am I just simply incorrect?

That was member of Rescue 3 but the rig was the disbanded Rescue 6 now used as shown in the video as a spare. RES3CUE was probably in the shop, RES6CUE gets loaned out to the Rescue Companies when their rig is under maintenance at the fleet shop in Queens.

rescue 3 and collapse 3 are in the same house 176th st between park and washington the address is 451 east 176th st. but a new station is begin built on washington ave and 173rd st

ANESTI, Ok. I was on the FDNY Apparatus site a little while before viewing this. 1 more question, has the Fed Q been banned in NYC...I heard that b/c of the decibel level the Q produces it is too loud for the NYC streets pedestrain and traffic congestion

i think its been banned but im not 100% sure. if you are in manhattan especially midtown after 10 pm ive notice alot of emergency apparutes tend to turn down the noise so im pretty sure it is banned. here in the bronx eng 48 uses there fed mod 28 alot during the day but you almost never hear it after 8pm. i hope that somewhat helps out?
