Not bad all-in-all but you have to find a way to stop the flickering with castle's textures cause they are actually wasting lot of efforts you've put in your work :/
@dandarya. I will try to explain this as simply as possible to you. All animation videos consist of frames, the industry standard is 30 frames per second, so lets assume for this video its 30 frames per second.
Now each of these frames has to be rendered. To render out all of these frames which is 30 x 70 it would have taken several days due to the high detail of the models and lighting used in this scene.
@dandarya Video games consoles or even the most powerful computers arent capable of rendering out these frames in realtime which is why the details in video games is much lower, so that the console can render the frames out in realtime. Video games have to be rendered out in realtime as you the player decide where you go and the enviroment is constantly changing and being rendered around you. This scene can be made to look beatiful, but there is nothing that can be changed about it.
So what is the difference between beginner and any high class. I have been wanting to get into some high end movies. If you view my profile, none that are posted are high end with special effects. The people I work with don't want anything fake. So, with that said, I'm trying to get some high end software that can deliver really good footage. I have everything that I need, now I just need the CGI program and the "intense" effects.
@lhommeenbleu It depends on what you are using it for aswell, you "can" get around for personal use, but don't go around selling your products when your original software is illegal.
nice ! how long did it take to render this ?? i have Vue 10 and i'm rendering a simple scene clip, and it takes ages :(

The models are okay but there's too much aliasing.

With some new 3d games you could play the same kind of looking things in real time...

Its not a texture problem, he needs to increase anti-aliasing.

Yeah, agreed, but I generally have to do the same thing :P Vue's renderer takes forever with AA.

whhy cant they make video games using this stuff.

Because with the rendered time of these scene, the techonoly is not enough advance to apply for games.
Perhaps in a couple of years ;)

@dandarya Because the game would be so huge you'd need a super computer to play it. But don't worry, maybe some day... lol

Yes, Pionner is very limited.
But unlike shadowmansas,
i prefer to buy my software. I try to save my money and i can buy hardware and software.
Vue is relatively expensive. But if you want to be honest and for the development of the software, please pay!

So which version would you recommend.
Movie16Master 2 years ago
Difficult to respond.
Depending of budget and what do you want do to.
My suggestion for beginner:
Vue 8 Esprit (199$)
or Vue 8 Studio (399$)
on the site of Eon Software you have the comparaison of their differents softwares.

Isn't the flickering due to the render settings and quality options?

Nice animation but I see E-on still haven't fixed the flickering in Vue 8.
