been a few years so i was thinking of trying zune this time around but it doesn't look that great no offense, i have to use that specific software, and it doesn't have any good apps so why don't they just take the games from the windows phone and put them on it? i guess i'll go with an ipod touch
@expiredzues I have a lot of games on the Zune. There's a lot of applications available. The Ipod is the same, you have to use Itunes. I hate Itunes. I can manually delete songs from the Zune system while listening without having to connect to the computer.
Not to hate on apple fanboys and apple products in general. But come on, $300 for 32gb ipodtouch when I can get a 32gb zune for $140. 16gb for 1/2 the price of a 8gb ipodtouch. Also itunes is a steaming pile of horses*** garbage, It literally crashes once a month. Also the ipod touch may have a bazillion apps, but not everyone cares to play angry birds...

Zune's are durable I own the HD bought it recently and I will not ever regret it. So the Zune HD doesn't have flash. big whoop that's why there's things called computers and laptops. The interface of the zune is excellent it feels really light when you hold it. And everything is well organized on the contrary to the ipod having everything all together and crowded. You want a fantastic music player get a zune hd! You want nothing but apps and a poor music player get the ipod!

It cant play WAV, and when u put wma lossless on it it converts it to a lower quality without alerting you. the whole "oh, this is the device for music lovers" is just bullshit in light of the fact that it cant even play high quality sound files that the old ipod video can. i find it hard to believe microsoft is this stupid but it is
@bombtom512 I have never had a problem with a Zune (HD is my second next to my brick of a "gen 1") and even though the software occasionally changes quality and such, at least it played things that my iPod touch wouldn't. iTunes always gave me grief with my videos, whereas the Zune software put the videos on the device with not a second thought. I'm not saying it's the greatest, but it's not all that bad either. Just my own preferences.
@Zaebolista There is exactly 33 apps on zune hd. Theres like 28 games, and 5 utilities like facebook n stuff. Most of the games suck though.
As long as you aren't getting the zune hd for apps, then this is right on par with the iTouch, if not better. I got a zune hd a few days ago, and it's amazing.

@Zaebolista Yeah, if apps are a priority, the zune hd isn't even an option. UNLESS your decent with a computer, then you could somewhat easily download third party apps for the zune hd. They're better.
Anyway, I honestly regret buying the zune hd. I didn't care about the apps, just putting music on it. Then I realized I coulda just bought a 50$ or less mp3 player. For the money i spent on my zune hd, it should have more support.. I do believe Microsoft will eventually support it. Good luck man.

I definitely want one of these. My iPod is literally dying! Through my five yrs of experience with apple, I've only ever paid for the name. I want my MP3 player for MUSIC, not a bunch of apps. I will keep my iPod touch for apps but def want the Zune HD for my music needs! I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Zune 4.0 software. It is the coolest PC music software I have ever used. It's faster, easier and less faulty than iTunes. iTunes hardly even works for me on my BRAND NEw laptop.
I just want something that plays a lot of music, with good sound quality, and makes it easy for me to reach my music. the only thing I find kind of annoying is album art...i don't really care about it. and wonder how much space it takes up.

I don't see why anyone would care about senseless apps more than the quality of music and videos. I want something with a unique, clean, straightforward, simple set-up. That's all you really need in a music player. And the Zune HD's apps are all free so far.
Zune HD is great. I have not been without mine since I got it. It is very user friendly and battery life is a major improvement. Far better than my old Zune120. The only problem I have with it is the earphones which do not sound great. I had to use it with my favourite Philips earphones which sound far better than the Zune earphones. The internet is surprisingly faster than I was expecting. Everything ealse just makes sense with this player.
@wayne1515 the Zune rarely freezes, they are better then the iPod series. The iPod touch series though is better the Zune. But if you just want music, photos, video, radio, and a marketplace. I recommend getting a Zune, it's perfect
the only reason all you ipod users say this is a iece of shit is because you are ignorant. you are bias because you got the ipod first. and becasue everyone has it, you only buy it to be "popular" or "fit in". from a programmers standpoint, the zune is better. it is simply better built and has more tech in it that the itouch. the truth is, if zune came first, it would be the better choice.

It cant play WAV, and when u put wma lossless on it it converts it to a lower quality without alerting you. the whole "oh, this is the device for music lovers" is just bullshit in light of the fact that it cant even play high quality sound files that the old ipod video can. i find it hard to believe microsoft is this stupid but it is

@bombtom512 I have never had a problem with a Zune (HD is my second next to my brick of a "gen 1") and even though the software occasionally changes quality and such, at least it played things that my iPod touch wouldn't. iTunes always gave me grief with my videos, whereas the Zune software put the videos on the device with not a second thought. I'm not saying it's the greatest, but it's not all that bad either. Just my own preferences.

@Zaebolista There is exactly 33 apps on zune hd. Theres like 28 games, and 5 utilities like facebook n stuff. Most of the games suck though.
As long as you aren't getting the zune hd for apps, then this is right on par with the iTouch, if not better. I got a zune hd a few days ago, and it's amazing.

@TheDominantRace See me and my friend had a 2 hour phone conversation about this..weighing the pros and cons but I do like apps and stuff and that's the main thing with me BUT their 16 gb is $166 at walmart.com and I think that's a steal as opposed to getting an 8gb iPod Touch..my mind is pretty made up that I will get the iPod but I'm still not sure

@Zaebolista Yeah, if apps are a priority, the zune hd isn't even an option. UNLESS your decent with a computer, then you could somewhat easily download third party apps for the zune hd. They're better.
Anyway, I honestly regret buying the zune hd. I didn't care about the apps, just putting music on it. Then I realized I coulda just bought a 50$ or less mp3 player. For the money i spent on my zune hd, it should have more support.. I do believe Microsoft will eventually support it. Good luck man.

I definitely want one of these. My iPod is literally dying! Through my five yrs of experience with apple, I've only ever paid for the name. I want my MP3 player for MUSIC, not a bunch of apps. I will keep my iPod touch for apps but def want the Zune HD for my music needs! I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Zune 4.0 software. It is the coolest PC music software I have ever used. It's faster, easier and less faulty than iTunes. iTunes hardly even works for me on my BRAND NEw laptop.

I just want something that plays a lot of music, with good sound quality, and makes it easy for me to reach my music. the only thing I find kind of annoying is album art...i don't really care about it. and wonder how much space it takes up.

I don't see why anyone would care about senseless apps more than the quality of music and videos. I want something with a unique, clean, straightforward, simple set-up. That's all you really need in a music player. And the Zune HD's apps are all free so far.

Zune HD is great. I have not been without mine since I got it. It is very user friendly and battery life is a major improvement. Far better than my old Zune120. The only problem I have with it is the earphones which do not sound great. I had to use it with my favourite Philips earphones which sound far better than the Zune earphones. The internet is surprisingly faster than I was expecting. Everything ealse just makes sense with this player.

the only reason all you ipod users say this is a iece of shit is because you are ignorant. you are bias because you got the ipod first. and becasue everyone has it, you only buy it to be "popular" or "fit in". from a programmers standpoint, the zune is better. it is simply better built and has more tech in it that the itouch. the truth is, if zune came first, it would be the better choice.
