Can't confirm, but looks solidly 1984-1986. Note the dual well tape decks. Especially on such a feature-barren unit. Same goes for mating chrome with lively colors. This would be one of the very last 8 track players ever made, and probably elicited amusement on the sales floor akin to a desktop with a floppy drive circa '06-06.
I use to have one like this but it was from Sears, and the turner was digital I got it when I was 6yrs old in 1981..about the same year 8-track finally were being fazed out
Iwasn't a big fan of 8-track. I found quite often you could hear track 1 in the background of track 2 etc., unless you get the alignment perfect. But, other than that a really cool stereo!
Wow man, you got lots of vintage stereos, takes me back to before I was even born lol. My friend has a 1960's AM/FM clock radio, not sure if it still works or not
