Only the fear of further soviet expansion forced the western allies to help west germany rebuild its economy and abandon the idea of degrading the country from an industrial to an agricultural nation. So NO, Hitler didn't save Germany. Instead, his megalomania brought suffering to his own people and left a stain in german history and culture.

@helljumpr5150 The Royal Navy needs thanking for defeating the U Boats and for allowing the events that led to the D-day invasion. This documentary is interesting but in reality is way of the mark. Nazi Germany could have conquered Britain but Hitler himself even knew this would have completely exhaust the war machine of Nazi Germany and make it weak, vunerable and exposed to just as evil a mad man as himself being Josef Stalin and the red army of the Soviet Union.
