HOW THE HELL he does that teleport in the back of sagat in 2:32 and I tried it and I cant hit back after I appear behind my oponent.... the only way to do it is doing it the teleport in the air but HE DOES it in the ground wtf...?????????????????
Hello, reader. If you started reading this, don't stop or else. I hate people who post these kind of comments but Post this to 16 videos in 30 minutes and promise your self to never listen to these kind of comments or make one up. But this one is real.If you don't post this, a boy with no head or legs will show up in ur room at midnight kill you. Everyone will forget u. start posting. the timer will start as soon as you finish reading this.
@MrDancalvin1983 Actually that can be both an advantage and a disadvantage depending on your opponent's ability to read your attacks. Take RF for example here a lot of the time he was able to FD through it and from what I've seen he's pretty consistent with that. As for Seth, my personal opinion is he's garbage. His stamina makes him more of a liability than an asset. It takes a lot of skill to be good with him.
i NEED to see iyo and sabin play each other. they are the best dhalsim players in the world imo. it would be weird and fun to see two highly skilled dhalsim players go against each other
@baylakerfan Dhalsim players don't mirror.. Even intermediate folks don't have mirror Dhalsim matches. One of the two people will have to be offensively mind set, and the other will get to play Dhalsim's defensive game, giving him the higher ground because that is Sim's normal way of being played.
@kroxell Just input the normal teleport motion but instead of finishing the motion with downforward or forward, finish it with up-forward (or up-back) and then press 3p. Dhalsim will do a little hop and teleport after, cuz the game reads the input of jumping sooner then the input for teleporting.
I have mad respect for anyone who mains Dhalsim. You gotta understand for every hit Dhalsim takes, he has to work even harder to deal damage. He truly takes patience to use effectively. You gotta have a good grasp on his weaknesses, mind games, spacing and the matchup game because Sim has loads of bad matchups.
I love how Lyo used Dhalsim to teleport right behind Sagat and then quickly execute a move. Unpredictable and quick reflexes, just what I wanted to see. I think he has the potential to rival or surpass Daigo.
@BigOChunk why is daigo brought into this vid? daigo is overrated. please stop comparing everyone to diago. its like comparing every fighter to chuck norris. it gets old fast.
That comment was 2 months ago, now I know Daigo is not the best and maybe not even near the best. And I also think it's annoying that every good fighter is called Chuck Norris too, he's taking too much credit from other peoples' achievements.
I bet the Sagat guy would easily kick spamming fireball zoners like Daigo. Now Iyo is a real pro, nobody else in the world could do this with Dhalsim, hands down and thumbs up.Fantastic tactics, not too much zoning, no turtling-fabulous fight!
no way. Iyo was the best sim player EVER. he pioneered this moethod of sim-age post SF4 arcade! Sanchez is amazing tho- but hes a better zoner id say, but not an all round better sim, no way!!! We want Iyo back!!!
hows how OVERPOWER sagat is dhalsim was owning him landing loads of moves look at dhalsim life at 1:42 after tat he only gets his by two upercuts and 1 normal kick and hes now loosing...
upercut kick pro does more damage than dhasim ultra..
Man, RF could have won this thing but he screwed up 2 BIG opportunities to land tons of damage. Both were at the end of the 3rd round in both sets. If he could have landed Ultra that would have nearly equaled things up in both round in which he could have taken it. I guess he kind of caved under the pressure.
haha, of course you do. Just remember that calling something "cheap" in a game like this makes you sound like an amateur. especially when you're referring to someone playing AGAINST a Sagat. Look at any tier list and see where Sagat is. Then look at where Dhalsim places.
tell you what. I was planning on getting the PC version when it comes out. You should get it, it's pretty cheap, and when you do, add my gamertag: Super Phamicom. I want to play you.
The term "cheap" sounds as if you can't take a loss, but they mean it's "minimal effort, minimal risk, high reward". For instance, Ken's flaming dragon punch. That move's only risk is when it gets blocked, which opens possibilities for a counter. But the move has zero frame time, meaning the opponent does not have enough animation-time for his move to prevent the flaming dragon punch with another move. That means it has a big chance of connecting, causing huge damage.
If someone is playing "cheap" or "dirty" it means he mainly uses very easy to execute moves, which causes massive damage and very low risk. The term "cheap" refers to the lack of skill needed to perform those moves, while it gives a huge advantage. People who are against the term "cheap" are either using those moves or don't really understand how those moves technically (with frame data) works. The best way is just becoming MUCH better, block those "cheap" moves and give massive counters.
I agree with most of your post. But notice you use the words "cheap" or "dirty" in quotes. You'll notice most knowledgeable fighting game fans don't EVER use these words. Scrubs do. Remember when tick throws, or even throwing was considered "cheap?" Play to win.
Dhalsim's close-range game and vitality is so crappy that sometimes it seems EVERY OTHER CHARACTER IS CHEAP against him. Anyone who's ever had 80% of their health taken away by two Sagat combos knows what I'm talking about.
I put those words between quotes on purpose. The main thing about "cheap" that annoy people is that they require low or no skill to get very high reward/results and the people using those moves default generally think they are really good players. The combination of using those moves + thinking they're better than everyone is what makes people mad.
The best way to describe this is Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars. He just runs all over the place like a clown, damaging stuff in the process because he's so clumsy. Because of that, he does some huge damage on the enemy. Afterwards, he thinks he's a really great fighter. That is a typical scrub that's doing lucky flaming dragon punch shots and that's what pisses people off because they think they're skilled, which they're not. It's the bragging about skill that they don't possess.
I think I get your point. One last thing: If you are being consistently beaten by "cheap" moves, you are a scrub. Plain and simple. It's not hard to overcome "cheap" tactics. In a game that is this well balanced and designed, there isn't really much "cheapness." Not really much that is broken. Except for maybe Seth.
True, I totally agree. That's why the best way to solve it is by training against these guys. I've been playing tons of matches against these players and found out ways to lure them to do such moves and punish them. Always funny to load a focus attack while they stand up, cancel it and block while they try to do a flaming dragon punch at wake-up. And the 2nd or 3rd time you won't cancel it and release the FA to start a combo.
w.e you brainless animal...just because characters can pullout 2 to 4hit combos doesnt make them combo characters which was my point... so stfu and mind yours
To the people who dont understand why this match had a lot of fireball spamming is because one of the chars was Dhalsim and Dhalsim has to zone his opponent. Iyo was so good at zoning and keeping his opponent away from him that he barely gave the chance for Sagat to land any combos. The only thing the Sagat player had left to do was to keep fireballling so he could hopefully knock Iyo down.
what you mean "where are the combos the action?" noobs don't understand this game tactics, not all characters are combo characters...you can go ahead and rush into battle let's see how far you can get
this dhalsim would fuckin destroy you son! so would my dhalsim you have no idea what skill is jr. just keep playing your lil weak ass ken and ryu and anyone else who throws a fireball bitch

sagat was spamming for his life. omg. spamming makes players look retarded. any1 who wants to shoot projectiles should stick to FPS games. its called street fighter not street spammer.
dam alot of hate comments on this vid. if ppl dont like spamming projectiles then they should go back to SFIII cuz spamming is a big thing in SFIV. The days of parrying are over. Now we got stuck baby dick focus attacks.
Speed.. That's all there is to it.. I managae to pull it off 10% of the time with my xbox controller, 50% of the time if I use it as a fighting stick and I hope to make it 90% if I actually buy a stick:P
Wtf, why are some of these retards calling these players bad, and shitty comments like "too many projectiles" ... Thats what u get on a high level of Street Fighter 4. You wouldnt stand a chance vs these guys! Have in mind that Daigo is even allready beaten at this point.
Are some of you guys suggesting it would be anything other than complete suicide to try to take on a pro Sagat fist-to-fist with Dhalsim in a tournament final?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Noobs or not, they know the difference between an exciting fight and this. I know that technically there were some excellent tactics and combos, but the avalanche of fireballs turned that into one very ugly match.
And yes, I have years of practice with the likes of Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear and god knows how many other 2D and 3D fighters, so I know my stuff ;)

the back to back teleport combos at [7:43] are some of the sickest Dhalsim play you will ever see.
rainofwalrus 3 years ago 2
P.S. that Dhalsim's a PIMP!
dss103 3 years ago
dam alot of hate comments on this vid. if ppl dont like spamming projectiles then they should go back to SFIII cuz spamming is a big thing in SFIV. The days of parrying are over. Now we got stuck baby dick focus attacks.
dss103 3 years ago
Agreed...I gotta give credit to the Dhalsim plyr though, he played his character perfect.

Search Dhalsim Challenge Trials and there's videos on it.

Speed.. That's all there is to it.. I managae to pull it off 10% of the time with my xbox controller, 50% of the time if I use it as a fighting stick and I hope to make it 90% if I actually buy a stick:P

depends, if its the first time you've ever used a stick...YOUR GONNA FAIL..

Wtf, why are some of these retards calling these players bad, and shitty comments like "too many projectiles" ... Thats what u get on a high level of Street Fighter 4. You wouldnt stand a chance vs these guys! Have in mind that Daigo is even allready beaten at this point.
Stimpackswe 3 years ago
Wow. Dhalsim wins in the final. But daaaaaamn that guy, Iyo, is good with the timing and mindgames.
It's not that dhalsim is high tier or anything. Iyo was just very skilled with a seemingly hard character to use.

Are some of you guys suggesting it would be anything other than complete suicide to try to take on a pro Sagat fist-to-fist with Dhalsim in a tournament final?
MichaelJ9999 3 years ago
Ehh, way too many projectiles.
