  • HOW THE HELL he does that teleport in the back of sagat in 2:32 and I tried it and I cant hit back after I appear behind my oponent.... the only way to do it is doing it the teleport in the air but HE DOES it in the ground wtf...?????????????????

  • @coteton111 ummm you do the regular teleport motion then just press up before you press triple punch or kick .......takes practice

  • @kupidzheart thank you friend oh this dhalsim is very pro

  • 2:09 wtf??? I had to rewind 5 times to see that tiger uppercut

  • Comment removed

  • Starts 1:20

  • good dhalsim against the powerhouse sagat :)

  • This is just another video of a noob sagat spaming fireballs

  • @Krimnosha You mean the average street fighter player who plays anyone and uses long rage spam*

  • Wow.. RF has a sick Tiger shot game. Although I like Mago's in your face approach better.

  • seth and dhalsim have the best advantages out of every character, the long stretch arms and legs, greater reach

  • @MrDancalvin1983 Actually that can be both an advantage and a disadvantage depending on your opponent's ability to read your attacks. Take RF for example here a lot of the time he was able to FD through it and from what I've seen he's pretty consistent with that. As for Seth, my personal opinion is he's garbage. His stamina makes him more of a liability than an asset. It takes a lot of skill to be good with him.

  • i NEED to see iyo and sabin play each other. they are the best dhalsim players in the world imo. it would be weird and fun to see two highly skilled dhalsim players go against each other

  • @baylakerfan Dhalsim players don't mirror.. Even intermediate folks don't have mirror Dhalsim matches. One of the two people will have to be offensively mind set, and the other will get to play Dhalsim's defensive game, giving him the higher ground because that is Sim's normal way of being played.

  • Can someone please tell me how that dhalsim player does to make those short hop / teleport , I just can't find a way to be that fast...

  • @kroxell Just input the normal teleport motion but instead of finishing the motion with downforward or forward, finish it with up-forward (or up-back) and then press 3p. Dhalsim will do a little hop and teleport after, cuz the game reads the input of jumping sooner then the input for teleporting.

  • @blackman6270 thanks a lot !

  • why is this so boring? glad i did not buy the game

  • @hashishfunction its fun when ur playing

  • cuz dhalsim is a defensive character, but hes fun to play as

  • @killerphil17 Its fun for the player using Dhalsim, AND for anyone who beats him :P

  • I have mad respect for anyone who mains Dhalsim. You gotta understand for every hit Dhalsim takes, he has to work even harder to deal damage. He truly takes patience to use effectively. You gotta have a good grasp on his weaknesses, mind games, spacing and the matchup game because Sim has loads of bad matchups.

  • 優勝商品がしょぼいよなー

  • The Sagat player was just too stressed

  • Is this really the highly anticipated Street Fighter 4?

Almost all the players in this tournament play defensive like shit... The gameplay is sooo slow!!!! I mean there's no tension and excited...

I'd say KOF XII's fighting engine is a lot way better...

  • @Coballes19 It's because Dhalsim is more of a defensive character. Thus you will see more spacing and zoning compared to any "in your face" action.

  • @Coballes19 you're a total dumbass. This. Is. a. TOURNAMENT!! The game has nothing to do with the way people play it, you uninformed douchebag!

  • sf4 is such a let down

  • I'm interested in watching one of the best SFIV players on youtube. I'm not familiar with none of them though. Who is very god like?

  • @ztheking11 Daigo

    nuff said

  • how do you change attacks in the middle of one like sagat does in the first round setting up his ultra

  • @boomshizzIe uppercut > focus attack dash cancel > heavy kick > ultra

  • these guys don't seem to smile much

  • you sure this was a championship? looked like that sagat did nothing but the same move over and over

  • iyo really doesnt do anything out of the ordinary with dhalsim, its just his timing that makes him so great.

  • I love how Lyo used Dhalsim to teleport right behind Sagat and then quickly execute a move. Unpredictable and quick reflexes, just what I wanted to see. I think he has the potential to rival or surpass Daigo.

  • Iyo, not Lyo

  • @BigOChunk why is daigo brought into this vid? daigo is overrated. please stop comparing everyone to diago. its like comparing every fighter to chuck norris. it gets old fast.

  • @someguyhunter

That comment was 2 months ago, now I know Daigo is not the best and maybe not even near the best. And I also think it's annoying that every good fighter is called Chuck Norris too, he's taking too much credit from other peoples' achievements.

  • @BigOChunk its coo.

its like when people say OMG ITS KIMBO SLICE. HES GONNA BEAT UP EVERYONE BARE KNUCKLE.

then he gets his ass kicked by some fat guy on spiketv.

  • @someguyhunter diago is abit overated, to me momochi is number 1, but diago is one of the best for sure

  • Iyo>all

  • I bet the Sagat guy would easily kick spamming fireball zoners like Daigo. Now Iyo is a real pro, nobody else in the world could do this with Dhalsim, hands down and thumbs up.Fantastic tactics, not too much zoning, no turtling-fabulous fight!

  • I think arturo is only slightly behind

  • no way. Iyo was the best sim player EVER. he pioneered this moethod of sim-age post SF4 arcade! Sanchez is amazing tho- but hes a better zoner id say, but not an all round better sim, no way!!! We want Iyo back!!!

  • is that justin wong in the purple jacket ??

o wait no its just another fat oriental guy

  • Hey look it's Jackie Chan!

  • @cillacam01 almost, it's kindevu i think he also play rufus...lol

  • Kindevu, aka the best Rufus in Japan

  • Now I understand why he uses the purple color on his Rufus.

  • @johneysz89 lol cuz theyre twins

  • who?

  • Kindevu

  • looooooooooooool

  • @cillacam01 yeah all those orientals look a like, amirite??

  • @jjws They all look different to me

  • @cillacam01 It s Kindevu.

  • Did the Sagat flub the Ultra at the end, or did he back off on purpose, or... what?

  • haha, awesome dhalsim!!

  • iyo got so much better

  • Um, WHO? And where are all the old-skewl pros that used to kick our butts? lol

  • They are all still playing SF3 ;-)

  • lol

  • damn. iyo has got to be one of the most talented dhalsims out there, if not the best.

  • iyo culd of won a 2:09 with super instead of knee.

  • iyo is so skilled, tho sagat's hits are godly power full he actully one two matches in a row.. nice :D

  • Dudes shut up

  • And i add this : 7:42 => pure ownage !

  • Dhalsim isnt easy to use since you have to know where to use right move at the right time, but he's not the hardest ofcourse.

  • dhalsim is hard to use about cheap u dumbass

  • hows how OVERPOWER sagat is dhalsim was owning him landing loads of moves look at dhalsim life at 1:42 after tat he only gets his by two upercuts and 1 normal kick and hes now loosing...

upercut kick pro does more damage than dhasim ultra..

  • Man, RF could have won this thing but he screwed up 2 BIG opportunities to land tons of damage. Both were at the end of the 3rd round in both sets. If he could have landed Ultra that would have nearly equaled things up in both round in which he could have taken it. I guess he kind of caved under the pressure.

  • dhalism is mad cheap to use

  • spoken like a true amateur. Dhalsim is mad hard to use well.

  • thats not wat i meant to say, i meant that his moves are cheap.. in my opinion and if u think im an amateur come see me online

  • Ok. What's your gamertag? I will be getting my xbox back in a couple weeks.

  • i play on PS3

  • haha, of course you do. Just remember that calling something "cheap" in a game like this makes you sound like an amateur. especially when you're referring to someone playing AGAINST a Sagat. Look at any tier list and see where Sagat is. Then look at where Dhalsim places.

    Iyo is awesome.

  • well get a PS3 or go to a friends house big guy, xbox is wack

  • tell you what. I was planning on getting the PC version when it comes out. You should get it, it's pretty cheap, and when you do, add my gamertag: Super Phamicom. I want to play you.

  • The term "cheap" sounds as if you can't take a loss, but they mean it's "minimal effort, minimal risk, high reward". For instance, Ken's flaming dragon punch. That move's only risk is when it gets blocked, which opens possibilities for a counter. But the move has zero frame time, meaning the opponent does not have enough animation-time for his move to prevent the flaming dragon punch with another move. That means it has a big chance of connecting, causing huge damage.

  • If someone is playing "cheap" or "dirty" it means he mainly uses very easy to execute moves, which causes massive damage and very low risk. The term "cheap" refers to the lack of skill needed to perform those moves, while it gives a huge advantage. People who are against the term "cheap" are either using those moves or don't really understand how those moves technically (with frame data) works. The best way is just becoming MUCH better, block those "cheap" moves and give massive counters.

  • I agree with most of your post. But notice you use the words "cheap" or "dirty" in quotes. You'll notice most knowledgeable fighting game fans don't EVER use these words. Scrubs do. Remember when tick throws, or even throwing was considered "cheap?" Play to win.

Dhalsim's close-range game and vitality is so crappy that sometimes it seems EVERY OTHER CHARACTER IS CHEAP against him. Anyone who's ever had 80% of their health taken away by two Sagat combos knows what I'm talking about.

  • I put those words between quotes on purpose. The main thing about "cheap" that annoy people is that they require low or no skill to get very high reward/results and the people using those moves default generally think they are really good players. The combination of using those moves + thinking they're better than everyone is what makes people mad.

  • The best way to describe this is Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars. He just runs all over the place like a clown, damaging stuff in the process because he's so clumsy. Because of that, he does some huge damage on the enemy. Afterwards, he thinks he's a really great fighter. That is a typical scrub that's doing lucky flaming dragon punch shots and that's what pisses people off because they think they're skilled, which they're not. It's the bragging about skill that they don't possess.

  • I think I get your point. One last thing: If you are being consistently beaten by "cheap" moves, you are a scrub. Plain and simple. It's not hard to overcome "cheap" tactics. In a game that is this well balanced and designed, there isn't really much "cheapness." Not really much that is broken. Except for maybe Seth.

  • True, I totally agree. That's why the best way to solve it is by training against these guys. I've been playing tons of matches against these players and found out ways to lure them to do such moves and punish them. Always funny to load a focus attack while they stand up, cancel it and block while they try to do a flaming dragon punch at wake-up. And the 2nd or 3rd time you won't cancel it and release the FA to start a combo.

  • That could quite possibly be, the greatest analogy I have ever read in my entire life.

  • god damn it, just push all the button the way you want to win the game. theres nothing cheap.. unless u distract ur opponent.

  • man he got wrecked that last round. deserves it considering he cheesed the round before.

  • Dang...

Iyo dodged atleast 90% of those tiger shots.

    Impressive

  • Iyo is clearly the more skilled of these two

  • Iyo really personifies Dhalsim's play style- persistent defense, and always punishing your opponent when he chooses to trade.

  • Holy shit that is some insane zoning skill.

  • damn those nippon females are hot

  • w.e you brainless animal...just because characters can pullout 2 to 4hit combos doesnt make them combo characters which was my point... so stfu and mind yours

  • To the people who dont understand why this match had a lot of fireball spamming is because one of the chars was Dhalsim and Dhalsim has to zone his opponent. Iyo was so good at zoning and keeping his opponent away from him that he barely gave the chance for Sagat to land any combos. The only thing the Sagat player had left to do was to keep fireballling so he could hopefully knock Iyo down.

  • what you mean "where are the combos the action?" noobs don't understand this game tactics, not all characters are combo characters...you can go ahead and rush into battle let's see how far you can get

  • this dhalsim would fuckin destroy you son! so would my dhalsim you have no idea what skill is jr. just keep playing your lil weak ass ken and ryu and anyone else who throws a fireball bitch

  • do you have xboxlive? whats your gamertag?

  • hell nah i ordered a ps3 cuz i got the te sticks and i dont want to worry about two things breaking down on me

  • Dhalsim shoots fireballs lol. You good with him?

  • haha my bad. i meant hadoukens. lol but no im just average now im more of a guile and bison player but when i get the console ima be fuckin some shit up cuz i dont need no more quarterz!!!!!!

  • were we watching the same videos i saw plenty of combos

  • Iyo inspired me to make Dhalsim my main. I'm very happy about that decision.

  • scrub

  • there are many many layers to EX-ing, countering combo-ing and zoning

this battle plays as a fireballfest, in reality, the fight was going on in their minds...

this level of play is far above any of us

  • Fireball spamming is much harder than it appears. Especially as Dhalsim, where messing up your zoning can cost you over half your health.

Spend some time with this game, and you start to appreciate just how good these guys are.

  • That Dhalsim was genius.

As to that Sagat player. . .

    Well, fuck Sagat players.

  • for real huh damn combos take all my dhalsims life

  • Those players have no facial expression! What's wrong with them! I'd be yelling and screaming during the game play if it were me!

  • Damn, Sagat missed two FADC Ultras! Those combos at 7:40 are indeed very impressive.

I wanna play more with Dhalsim now. I just can't get used to his floatyness, though.. I suppose I should just stop jumping so much o_o

  • wow i never realizd how powerful dhalsim could be in the right hands lol

  • man hes really good at dodging those fireballs. i tried dodging them like that against a sagat and its fkn hard since down+3punches doesn't come out quickly. kudos to iyo

  • if ur using an Xbox 360 controller its just left bumper

  • The announcer would have annoyed the hell out of me. After the first round I would have walked over and told him to either STFU or GTFO.

  • Look at the woman dress as crimson viper at the end.

    lololol.

  • Great Dhalsim player, Sagat just kept spamming fireballs and apart from one ultra combo he really didn't impress.

  • I guess during the first three rounds he discovered melee wasn't going to do it so the final he decided to play chicken and spam fireballs.

  • lol.... ever played capcom vs snk 2

its not they dont know its useful its just that its not SF

  • No thanks.

  • great job by the dhalsim player. that's some great strategy

  • your probably just mad because you dont know how to get past all the projectiles. lol

  • Anything to win.

  • do what it takes to win, don't bitch.

  • Dhalsim is my father...

  • yes indeed

  • the back to back teleport combos at [7:43] are some of the sickest Dhalsim play you will ever see.

  • P.S. that Dhalsim's a PIMP!

  • dam alot of hate comments on this vid. if ppl dont like spamming projectiles then they should go back to SFIII cuz spamming is a big thing in SFIV. The days of parrying are over. Now we got stuck baby dick focus attacks.

  • Agreed...I gotta give credit to the Dhalsim plyr though, he played his character perfect.

  • 7:44 was awesome

  • whys the fat kid 3rd place. Stop eating junkfood fatty.

  • does anybody know how to do the combo with sim at 1:46? i know its with m. kick to light flame but can't seem to pull it off. does anybody know???

  • Search Dhalsim Challenge Trials and there's videos on it.

  • Speed.. That's all there is to it.. I managae to pull it off 10% of the time with my xbox controller, 50% of the time if I use it as a fighting stick and I hope to make it 90% if I actually buy a stick:P

  • depends, if its the first time you've ever used a stick...YOUR GONNA FAIL..

  • to bad my friend rf an devu lost for the first place . (

  • Wtf, why are some of these retards calling these players bad, and shitty comments like "too many projectiles" ... Thats what u get on a high level of Street Fighter 4. You wouldnt stand a chance vs these guys! Have in mind that Daigo is even allready beaten at this point.

  • Wow. Dhalsim wins in the final. But daaaaaamn that guy, Iyo, is good with the timing and mindgames.

It's not that dhalsim is high tier or anything. Iyo was just very skilled with a seemingly hard character to use.

  • geez, spam much?

  • And I thought I was good for mindgaming shotoscrubs with Canmmy

  • Are some of you guys suggesting it would be anything other than complete suicide to try to take on a pro Sagat fist-to-fist with Dhalsim in a tournament final?

  • Ehh, way too many projectiles.

  • wow

  • Man, the guy who plays Dhalsim is way better.

How can Sagat lose to Dhalsim?

  • sagat has always had a problem with sim

  • OMG Sakura, ChunLi and Crimson were there in real at the end! woot! Japan ftw

  • u nubs jus dont understand

  • they obviously dont

  • LOL yea had 2 say it

  • Same crap over and over. This was a boring fight.

  • thats why fighting games are a dying genre

  • Doesn´t have to be. I will still get this game anyway though.
