  • meh, i used sine instead...

    h=8sin(18t-90)+9 when t=seconds

  • @bigdude1995

    or 9 - 8sin(90-18t)

  • SAL... IT ASKS FOR A SINUSOIDAL FUNCTION NOT A COSINE :S

  • @louiseypoon do you know what sinusoidal functions are

  • @louiseypoon sinusoidal means sin or cos :S

  • if h=9, then shouldn't 9-h=0? anyone else notice that?

  • @SpartanGJ23 He just named them both 'h'. They are two different things. Maybe he should have put H and L or something like that

  • jajaja-7:00 someone at the door for u sal or what?

  • hey, I repeated this but for a clockwise rotation, any idea why the function has to change to a+bcos(speed x time) rather than a-bcos(speed x time)

  • WHY ARE YOU MAKIN SO COMPICATED JESUS

  • @kosterot I didn't know that Jesus taught math.

  • Wow, i'm a math major but i totally forgot about trig since HS, this is amazing!

  • i cant make functions out of word problems. my math text is constantly asking me to make stupid functions. what the hell, how are peolpe suppose to do that. i think im missing a chromosome.

  • i had tp punch on with my brain towards the end there a little bit.. could feel it switching off... wish i could just be a natural genius

  • wow he is a genius.

  • can you do a video about the angle of elevation and depression?

  • thanks alot that helps :) !!!

  • you are my hero!!! we need more of you people around

  • this is the hardest trig problem by a long shot since it encompasses AV and trig.

  • this dude is smart

  • i thaut it was a real proplem

  • Thanks dude you explain this way better than my book.

  • thanks for the help

  • never mind you included the 1m from the ground.

  • isnt h=8? cause thats the centre and the radius is 8 cm.

  • h is the height above the ground

the radius of the ferris wheel is 8m, and the wheel itself is 1m off of the ground.

  • thanks :D this helped me soo much

    -tika

  • Thank you very much for making this video

  • Wow. I was assigned this problem today in class, just with different values. This is a huge help.

  • are u a math teacher??

    ur really smart

  • Because it helps. Ferris wheels pop up in many trig books, believe it or not

  • Used the ferris wheel in class today, and he is a professional tutor
