Everybody the 1983 Vette was real! Go to the National Corvette Museum they have the only one still in existence there! They only made 44 and they never released them to the public and GM destroyed all but one
GM already gave us a 4 door corvette.... no one bought it so they stopped making it, I know it is a little confusing cause they sold it as a Pontiac, the Pontiac G8 GXP to be exact... Either way tommy25ss is completely correct. The change in the second generation body was called the mid-year corvette, when they changes from solid axle to independent rear suspension. This is not considered to be a "new" generation though. We are currently on the C6 with the C7 to come in around 2013.
Your "second generation" isn't enough of a change to constitute a generation. That would be like saying another generation came out in 91' with the LT1 vette's and the other cosmetic changes they also did that year. Same thing with what you call the 4th generation(which is actually a C3) and how the 68 had so little in common with the 82 for being the same generation. Also there is no 1983 vette. I still liked the video though, awesome. Just no sedans anymore please, don't give them ideas...
@tommy35ss gm did consider the 68-82 models part of the same generation.... even though they were different in most aspects, they both shared a mutual body style, that had just been revised bit. its a similar situation to what they did with the camaro. the second gen model years are 1970-1981, even though the car had almost been totally changed by the mid 70s
@badgerbuddy What I'm saying is that how do you consider the 56-62 Corvette a different generation? I wasn't saying that the C3 Corvette is 2 generations, I was making a metaphor to what you did with the 1st generation
Hey, just to point out... there was no 83 other than the one in the museum and its silver.
