  • this doesnt really makes sense, even when its really cold, tires get warm from friction and will perform good, only when its raining or snowing this doesnt

  • So what, if you losen up the tire pressure in allseason tires, they should have more contact with the ground? Still doesnt work.

  • Oh snap did not see that coming!! Ok I'm so I'm off to get my new tires!!

  • 2:24. The question you have to answer is "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

  • Must be an American video, the thermometer bottoms out at 0 degrees.

  • Winter Tyres should be fitted on all tyres and not just one or two.

  • Nah, winter tires suck, everybody knows crawler belt performs best under winter conditions :)

  • AUDIIIIIIIIIII!

  • Although this is very true, it fails to take into account that the tire itself is not 32 degrees F, but because of road friction is a lot warmer and still pliable. Winter tires are best for the conditions, there's no debate. I'm glad alinus gives a European spelling for tires, cause I don't want you driving on the same road as I am with 6" of snow on summer tires. That's foolish and dangerous. Also why traffic comes to a halt during a snow or ice storm in the UK.

  • No, real test confirm! By 0° C winter tire are realy better!

  • Note to self, put Winter tires on my Subaru. AWD + Winter tires = WIn for me :)

  • This video is awesome.

  • this is something EVERYBODY SHOULD HAVE IN MIND!!!

  • oi

yes winter tires do work alot more and stuff but they ware out faster and stuff but its not bad to have them in the winter times though so its a good idea to have 2 sets one for winter and one for summer but yeah

    the end

    :p

  • Very good explanation. I just recently found out that lower temperatures require a winter tire, even if there is no snow.

  • @mrjost55 Good story, makes you want to believe it, but it's WRONG. Marketing tricks at best. On dry roads, Dunlop SP Sport with 50000 km wear was better in sub-0 temp vs any good winter tire (Nokian, etc). Lateral grip much better, no jelly feeling. Of course in ACTUAL snow, the summer Dunlops were losing traction with mere clutch work, let alone under any acceleration, ABS kicked in furiously at the lightest brake touch. I really couldn't push them beyond 100km/h on snow, and I drive fast!
