I've been fan of Falconer for a year now and still I think this is their greatest song. I've got Among Beggars and Thieves, two copies Northwind and Grime versus Grandeur. All were given to me as presents last winter(birthday and Christmas). Even more I'm fan of Mathias Blad than the band itself. All heil to both!

you would think so for your first example, but if you look at the rules of that situation, it is actually correct, I cannot remember the word-for-word rule, but other example. "Two lying Eyes is staring back, with a look of shame and regret" (different song) is also perfectly correct english. It is something to do with the situation of words, i cannot remember fully the rule, but i know that these are correct

well, im still not convinced. you are speaking of the intervening clause, where the main clause would be all is cracking and fading away, but thats not wat they mean. they use all as a quantifier of the main noun (visions) not as a main noun where the clause "our visions of sweet tomorrow" is a modifier. technically when looking only at syntax it is right, but the semantic meaning makes the syntactic structure incorrect.

i know it sounds odd, and i myself thought them incorrect, but on the day i learned that there was situations where it should be "is" instead of where "are" seemingly would be used, i asked these two examples to my English professor, and he said they did fit into that rule. Its been a while so i would have to look up that rule. Idk,
