And the reason the number 2 looking like it's bright "red hot", I just read that the color white is registered to the hottest temperatures in an image. Did these "ghost experts" not read the directions about how colors and heat show up on the FLIR camera or not? Maybe there is something in the FLIR manual telling how reflections register on an image. Probably the same as you see in the video. OMG.

What you are seeing is grant's reflection at a diagonal angle. You can also see the IR camera screen reflected that he's looking at if you look closely to the right near the 2 . I've spent far too long studying this footage and it's very clearly Grant .

But when I got it, I tested it out by standing my friend outside AT DAY, in my back yard, After the test, I saw something in the footage, it was something straight behind my friend. You have to "lock" the thermal camera to a temperature range. Otherwise it is constantly ranging and changing colors on the screen trying to determine the correct upper and lower temperature limit.
The reason the image in the locker disappeared was because the camera corrected itself as it was pointed at the surface.
In other words these plumbers don't know how to use their own equipment.
think about it, so if you see a candles reflection in a mirror, and you feel the mirror, its not gonna burn you like the candle would, because a reflection is just visible light, and and since thermal cameras only sense the temperature, not light, if an object like a mirror is uniform in temperature, on the camera is just gonna show up a flat, uniform color
and if you can ever get your hands on a thermal camera, play with it, try to record the outside from inside your home, you'll notice it doesn't see through glass either, since it only senses the surface temperature of the window, and the only time thermal cameras can see a "reflection" is if its a reflection of heat, but you would have to be very close to the object to have your heat bounce off and reflect back, but that guy was pretty far from the lockers

last month i ma going to my friend house i was waiting for him to come but he was in there house for more than 30 min then i tired a goes to the near house i have my handy cam with me i was in that house for more than 20min then i went to a sopping Mall there i have ON my cam and it's Battery Is Dead but I Know I have Charge It FULL and after 1 month i hear that house was hunted by a ghost i was too scare at that time...

whats alose significant about that video is the battery low message that pops up, i guess they were too occupied by the apparation to notice it. A theory is that spirits need energy from surrounding sources to manifest themselves, sometimes taken from batteries.
The warning pops up but that still leaves "X" amount of battery life left and I don't think it would have been wise to shut it down and go fumbling around looking for another battery (if they even had a spare, maybe not, if it's proprietary it costs a bundle) in the middle of the action!
Then with a break in continuity you might have people casting aspersion on their credibility of the recording.

Awesome! I love the show taps, and that show at the mifflin base was amazing when that spirit just showed up on infrared.. There is even a time if you look that this head seems to be looking the taps crew up and down. Great footage! 2 thumbs up!!
I also wanted to mention that I've seen this show quite a few times. They don't take this stuff lightly. Sometimes there is an episode where nothing happens at all. There are very few episodes where something undenyable happens. They've even tried to get the one guy to admit that the place was haunted but he'll refuse to do so because what happened wasn't difinitive enough. Most of them are skeptics trying to disprove hauntings, which they have done MANY times.
Excellent- they tried to debunk this but were unable to do so... the locker was not the reflective surface they thought it was and the image was not their reflection, like past poster's have suggested. TAP's is a fairly legitimate organization that doesn't seek to prove hauntings- rather, they seek to disprove them. Bravo on this compelling catch, TAP's... looking forward to season 4!

it isn't a janitor. no one was up and around at that point in the investigation, let alone in the room with them. The locker wasn't reflective, nor was anyone stuffed inside of it.
the feeling this "poltergeist" gave me was more of somthing like a blast of wind, or lightning. a force that doesnt have a will....somthing that moves, but has no awareness. very weird and hard to describe, but not as scary or threatening as you might imagine.
i once stayed in a london house that was famed for poltergiest activity, i witnessed a number of unexplainable incedents. my feeling, though was that the cause of this was to do with ghosts (dead peoples spirits) but rather (as yet) unknown forms of energy..maybe gravitational or electro-magnetic anomalies..you have to keep an open mind that just because somthings spooky, that doesnt mean its a ghost
Look how on the first footage the '2' is nicely centered in the screen. But the second time they checked, the '2' is far away from where it was on the first one, and it seems the camera is also zoomed in.
The heat can also be explained. On a hot night, touch any metal in your room. Next touch your wall, which is full of paint. Which one feels warmer? A good investigation would have included a sample from the material that '2' was made of.
What's weird is that you see the 2 on the sleeve of the "ghost" and you even see it make a point to look at the hot 2. I will admit that it is strange how the 2 is on his shoulder then in a diff place when they refilm that area. That I can't really explain. Also, notice how the "ghost" isn't hot at all and the 2 is. A person would've been way hotter just like when they filmed the one guy. His face and hands were as hot as the 2. Paint wouldn't get that hot on it's own.
I watch Ghost Hunters all the time, they dont fuck around with videos or fake anything. Half the time they dont even find anything, or get some little thing on tape. Do they claim that the place is haunted or some shit for ratings? No because if you watch the show you'll see it takes a lot of evidence for these guys. Its just shows like Most Haunted that give this sort of thing a bad rep.
I just wanted to add, whether you believe in this stuff or not, take the time to watch the full episode (which is posted on youtube and also on DVD, and also on Sci-Fi reruns) and to learn a little more about TAPS before making lame comments.
I don't know, the first time I saw it it freaked me out, now I think maybe it's Grant's reflection. They've caught some similar reflections since then but they know a lot more about how the camera works now and they always debunk them. I've seen every episode though and they've never seen something that looks this clearly like a figure. The glowing number 2 and the fact that the batteries on the camera are low when they try to re-create the image are hard to explain though.
the other audio and video footage that they have that is just crazy is the lighthousee. you actually see and hear things clearly. i cant wait until the new season starts

I love this show and I love those guys...they aren't actors by the way...they're plumbers, and this is their pasttime...they explain a lot of what they find to plausible things, but every once in a while, they catch something they can't explain.
I do believe in Ghosts but I also know its very rare to actually get paranormal evidence on film. A full bodied apparition is even rarer. The fact that these guys have found so much 'good' footage tells me that they're resorting to tricks for the sake of keeping the show interesting. Real ghost busters arent ever as lucky as these guys are.

Actors don't turn up like that with thermal even when masking it. I can tell you that one for sure. I'm not going to bust into swears or anything however these guys sometimes don't really find anything except for little noises. Also you'd probably like that one video on here, the Ghost, Demons and Potergiest something rare caught on tape.
They are real plumbers that started TAPS just because they felt like it. I guess it's always possible that the show is fake but TAPS is real, they've been around before the Sci-Fi show and they'll probably be around after.

Could the locker have an uneven surface or slight dent in it to cause an image of a figure to seem to appear. Uneven surfaces can cause stange looking images. The red number may be caused by reflective ink material in the number itself. Just a thought but the show is interesting. At least they are trying to find out about this stuff and presenting it in a professional manner.

actually, in one of the other TAPS episode it DID show that thermal cameras do capture mirrored objects... i think it was in the 3rd episode in season 2.
I thought the same thing, but actually they do. It's happened to them on more than one episode (and it was even from a long distance). My guess is small variations of heat are still detectable, even in reflections.

I have thought for a long time that the way to go to catch any form of spirit on tape is with thermal rather than night vision camera's. I really thought it was one of the crew stood there when I first saw it.
Saw this when it actually aired. The main 'weird' thing, aside from a figure standing there when there actually wasn't, is the fact that the #2 that shows up is actually a number that is painted on the locker. There is no good reason why this should show up on the thermal imaging cam. As to those who say this show is fake...it is probably the most real "reality" show on television.

Awesome! I love the show taps, and that show at the mifflin base was amazing when that spirit just showed up on infrared.. There is even a time if you look that this head seems to be looking the taps crew up and down. Great footage! 2 thumbs up!!

I also wanted to mention that I've seen this show quite a few times. They don't take this stuff lightly. Sometimes there is an episode where nothing happens at all. There are very few episodes where something undenyable happens. They've even tried to get the one guy to admit that the place was haunted but he'll refuse to do so because what happened wasn't difinitive enough. Most of them are skeptics trying to disprove hauntings, which they have done MANY times.

Excellent- they tried to debunk this but were unable to do so... the locker was not the reflective surface they thought it was and the image was not their reflection, like past poster's have suggested. TAP's is a fairly legitimate organization that doesn't seek to prove hauntings- rather, they seek to disprove them. Bravo on this compelling catch, TAP's... looking forward to season 4!

looks like the janitor! pause at 00:31. you can see he's holding a mop or a broom. explaine the peaked cap too. he even looks like hes wearing overalls. cant explain the 'hot' #2 on the locker. thats wierd.

it isn't a janitor. no one was up and around at that point in the investigation, let alone in the room with them. The locker wasn't reflective, nor was anyone stuffed inside of it.

the feeling this "poltergeist" gave me was more of somthing like a blast of wind, or lightning. a force that doesnt have a will....somthing that moves, but has no awareness. very weird and hard to describe, but not as scary or threatening as you might imagine.

i once stayed in a london house that was famed for poltergiest activity, i witnessed a number of unexplainable incedents. my feeling, though was that the cause of this was to do with ghosts (dead peoples spirits) but rather (as yet) unknown forms of energy..maybe gravitational or electro-magnetic anomalies..you have to keep an open mind that just because somthings spooky, that doesnt mean its a ghost

Look how on the first footage the '2' is nicely centered in the screen. But the second time they checked, the '2' is far away from where it was on the first one, and it seems the camera is also zoomed in.
The heat can also be explained. On a hot night, touch any metal in your room. Next touch your wall, which is full of paint. Which one feels warmer? A good investigation would have included a sample from the material that '2' was made of.
But don't get me wrong, I usually love TAPS.

What's weird is that you see the 2 on the sleeve of the "ghost" and you even see it make a point to look at the hot 2. I will admit that it is strange how the 2 is on his shoulder then in a diff place when they refilm that area. That I can't really explain. Also, notice how the "ghost" isn't hot at all and the 2 is. A person would've been way hotter just like when they filmed the one guy. His face and hands were as hot as the 2. Paint wouldn't get that hot on it's own.

I watch Ghost Hunters all the time, they dont fuck around with videos or fake anything. Half the time they dont even find anything, or get some little thing on tape. Do they claim that the place is haunted or some shit for ratings? No because if you watch the show you'll see it takes a lot of evidence for these guys. Its just shows like Most Haunted that give this sort of thing a bad rep.

I don't know, the first time I saw it it freaked me out, now I think maybe it's Grant's reflection. They've caught some similar reflections since then but they know a lot more about how the camera works now and they always debunk them. I've seen every episode though and they've never seen something that looks this clearly like a figure. The glowing number 2 and the fact that the batteries on the camera are low when they try to re-create the image are hard to explain though.

Do you people even realize how REAL Ghost Hunters really is? Have you ever noticed (if you actually pay attention) that there are some episodes where they find NOTHING. And even if they think they do, they come up with a solution that's logic explains it five times better than what the homeowner thought.
Ghost Hunters owns. Most Haunted sucks.

I love this show and I love those guys...they aren't actors by the way...they're plumbers, and this is their pasttime...they explain a lot of what they find to plausible things, but every once in a while, they catch something they can't explain.

I do believe in Ghosts but I also know its very rare to actually get paranormal evidence on film. A full bodied apparition is even rarer. The fact that these guys have found so much 'good' footage tells me that they're resorting to tricks for the sake of keeping the show interesting. Real ghost busters arent ever as lucky as these guys are.

Actors don't turn up like that with thermal even when masking it. I can tell you that one for sure. I'm not going to bust into swears or anything however these guys sometimes don't really find anything except for little noises. Also you'd probably like that one video on here, the Ghost, Demons and Potergiest something rare caught on tape.

They are real plumbers that started TAPS just because they felt like it. I guess it's always possible that the show is fake but TAPS is real, they've been around before the Sci-Fi show and they'll probably be around after.

I believe they are a legit ghost hunting group and they have encountered real spirits before and during the show. I'm just saying that some of their footage is suspicious. Like this clip and also the one from the Eastern State Penitentiary.

this is one of my favorite shows. i saw this episode when it came on tv. when i first saw that i was like WTF?! and they never found any way to disprove it either. and anybody who says these guys are faking it then you really need to shut the fuck up because these guys are the real deal

Could the locker have an uneven surface or slight dent in it to cause an image of a figure to seem to appear. Uneven surfaces can cause stange looking images. The red number may be caused by reflective ink material in the number itself. Just a thought but the show is interesting. At least they are trying to find out about this stuff and presenting it in a professional manner.

Ghosts exist. They are energy. Energy diffuses into the surrounding atmosphere as heat picked up by the thermal camera. Being heated by the energy form, the 2 was detected on camera. Read Alison DuBois (Medium).

I thought the same thing, but actually they do. It's happened to them on more than one episode (and it was even from a long distance). My guess is small variations of heat are still detectable, even in reflections.

Basing the validity of ghost's existence on the number of people "seeing" and believing in them is ridiculous. Do you know how many people believe that eating ground up tiger penis will cure impotence? Try reading up on anecdotal evidence, and why it's considered worthless. Skeptics have explained why people "see" ghosts, and give very plausible reasons as to why people would want to believe in them.

I think it's a pretty cool video and these guys always seem genuine. The reason I give them credibility is because they always go into an investigation to disprove something not prove it. But anything can be fake. But since I like to think they are genuine I'll file this under "real" haha.

if the lockers are metalic, or of some other materials with enough heat conduction, wouldn't it make an momentary "impression" of one of them if they stand close to that for some time? That would explain why the "ghost" stood still all the time.

er...um... the sci FI watermark stands for science *fiction* right? Researching a bit I've found that the channel is involved with admited hoaxes and that there are skepticals examining the scarce material that these TAPS guys make avaliable (only what is actually aired, apparently, rather than the raw stuff). Worth a look.

We saw this when the show first aires it.I personaly have seen apparitions since all my life,and watch everything I can about paranormal,ghost.This is a real apparition I even knew they were going to see him before they did.He was watching the crew the whole night.He's not a very nice spirit and was pissed they were there,he considers that his domain,and is very much aware of his surroundings.Watch his experesion he's pissed.If they pushed it they could have gotten more from this entity.

I have thought for a long time that the way to go to catch any form of spirit on tape is with thermal rather than night vision camera's. I really thought it was one of the crew stood there when I first saw it.

Saw this when it actually aired. The main 'weird' thing, aside from a figure standing there when there actually wasn't, is the fact that the #2 that shows up is actually a number that is painted on the locker. There is no good reason why this should show up on the thermal imaging cam. As to those who say this show is fake...it is probably the most real "reality" show on television.
