Irritates me that no one sells 4:3 LCD monitors or TVs at a good price that are over 20 inches big. Even though it isn't as authentic, it is WAAAAAY safer, and makes the cabinet lighter.
@itchyisvegeta But a real CRT, especially a true CGA arcade CRT running with an ArcadeVGA card is not only more authentic, it makes the original graphics look the way they were intended to look when the games were programmed. You are right though, they are MEGA-HEAVY!
@itchyisvegeta I'll be buying an old cabinet in the next week or two to start my Mame build. I have a 25" arcade monitor, an ArcadeVGA card, an I-Pac 2, an SJC board (for 49-way sticks), and some sticks and buttons. They just need a home in a decent cabinet soon.

@TortureBot That is true. In my current MAME cabinet, I will probably replace the monitor with a CRT when it eventually goes out.
